My First Build - Need Advice!

Thread Starter
Hello everyone, I plan on building my first computer (hopefully a fairly future-proof gaming PC) and would like your input on the components I have chosen. I'd like to get the most power for my cash and make sure the thing will even work when assembled... but I'm not exactly sure if I've prioritized the right parts in terms of quality. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. biggrin.gif

Looks fine from my end. Why not get some of the Samsung wonder/magic RAM?

Not bad build especially for your first.
I second the RAM suggestion if you can afford it.
It shouldn't disappoint.

Thanks, I changed the memory. On another note, what are your opinions on the 670?

Great card for your budget, especially if your running 1080p monitor.
If your wanting to use a 1440p or higher monitor id suggest going for a 7950, the 670 4gb is very expensive for just extra memory

Well I think I may get this monitor, but I'm not too sure. I haven't put too much thought into the brand or anything yet. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Asus-VS247H-P/17253144?findingMethod=Recommendation:wm:RecentlyViewedItems

As for the monitor I went out and bought a philips 24inch LED monitor with HDMI,DVI and Display port connectors. I'm using the HDMI port and it's the first time I've had a monitor that supported it. It looks absolutely brilliant and now can have 1080p thumb.gif
