People buy all sorts of crap from Telemarketing etc. Back in the days where these "faiths" started, people were being ripped off left and right as WELL.
Agian, please remember, there have been MANY people who make a killing of selling Tonics made of Arsenic to people before modern medicine. And many of those people will invoke anything, God's Gift to Man, Gods Water, Holy This etc.
PLenty of Example if you look for them

Fact is you woudlnt know who was trust worthy or not unless you knew them.
Most peope won't know who they are buying from and thats the truth.
The Risk outweighs the benefit, that is all.
I still do not understand how you brought religion into all this.
The problem with you is you pick apart what people say, use one or two parts to your advantage and completely blow right past everything else. The only constant with you is that you discredit others by jumping on grammer like some teachers pet.
So then it is Settled, We all agree that this was the correct action to remove these potentially Bogus items from eBay for the Sake of the masses.
No more Troll responses plx
Don't like using the Ignore Function -.-
Nobody said a thing about religion, huh? So, it's okay for you to breach the subject and yet, nobody else after you can then comment on it because, apparently, nobody but you is qualified to do so? God's water clearly isn't religious...Holy anything CLEARLY isn't religious...I mean what's the disconnect here? If you're going to mention something in your rant, it's fair game...So again, I only brought religion into this discussion because you did, first. If you don't like it...Go play in a different sandbox because clearly, you're the expert on religion as well.
Most people don't know what they're buying and I absolutely agree but, that doesn't make it any less legitimate for those that seek these practices.
If you were a known apothecary with a stellar reputation...Absolutely, I'd buy from you over the internet...I'm not talking about an ebay rating...I'm talking about this thing that real people use, they're known as references. References qualify you as legitimate or illegitimate...If you're going to purchase these goods without researching, you deserve what you get.
I don't completely agree that removing them was the right idea. Removing the scams, yes...But, there were/are some legitimate practices that use ebay to survive and now their market just got halved...So, there is a real issue with this decision and it's one that should be noted.
I don't discredit anybody that hasn't already discredited themselves, see above for that one
