Overclocking 7950 with no VRM/RAM heatsinks.

Thread Starter
Hey guys,

I picked up one of those 7950's with a fan in the middle and no heatsinks on the vrm's or RAM and I was wondering what the max safe volts I would be able to use.

Stock is 1.031v and temps are great at 1.1 but those are GPU core temps and not VRM temps.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

It's hard to say, really. It would all depend on what the temps in your case are and of course the VRM temps we can't see.
With no heatsinks on the VRMs I wouldn't go beyond 1.2v but that's more of an educated guess than anything else.
