Not sure how much luck I will get with this, but it never occurred to me while buying my current G700. I use a DeathAdder for my main rig, and that's perfect, but the G700 is just too heavy. It may not be too heavy, but rather, too 'back'-heavy.

I'm hoping to get some suggestions, or else, I might just return it and return to a dinky 'mobile' mouse. My other consideration was going to be the Orochi, but I wanted to buy it in store, so if I didn't like it, I would be able to return it with no problems.

PS.

I am using this on my MacBook Air. I would prefer it to be wireless, possibly Bluetooth, but i'm thinking I might have to settle for wired or just a cheaper mouse.

It is unlikely that you will find a wireless mouse as light as the DeathAdder.

Wireless mice are heavier due mostly to the battery, but also due to the mechanical components required to hold the battery in place, and to a smaller extent the electronic components that are required to convert battery power so that it's usable by the sensor and radio chip. In the G700's case, it's really the battery and battery cage that are driving your weight perception, but things like the all-metal scroll wheel add weight as well.

I don't mind the heavier mouse, but I just want something more evenly distributed

You could possibly just get a Razer Orochi or a Razer Abyssus and then either shorten the cable yourself or buy a new shorter one and replace it, this will probs void warranty

so you're looking for the size of the deathadder in a wireless form and light?

the best mobile mouse i know anyway, is the VX Revolution
as its discontinued, the "upgrade" anywhere MX mouse is nice, but the button placement on the right side annoy the crap out of me.

I'm considering trying an Orochi, and I guess I never considered weight to be a factor when deciding on a wireless mouse. First world problems, I guess
