G510 mushy creaking keys!

Hey all,

bought a G15 last year, had to RMA after few months as keys went a complete mess.
Got a brand new G510 in return.

Reccently by chance bought a cheapo ultra budget board for my son to mash away at while he plays minecraft.
I noticed that this cheapo board is actually much much better to use than my G510.

The G510 keys creak when i press them, the keys also kinda roll to the side and travel sideways a little, this rolling to the side is gradually getting worse as time goes on.
It feels like im typing on sponge, keys go all over the place before they go down.

Anyway i have taken to using the cheapo KB for my games and light typing as its just so much better.
Why is it that my cheapo KB for £6.50 is so much better than my Logitech G510?

Needles to say im going to RMA the G510 as i cant use it for more than a few minutes as it really gets annoying.
Just annoys me the price Logitech charge for the G510 and i have only used it for around 2 months lightly from brand new.

So its RMA time and then sell whatever they send back, maybe i should a cheap mechanical?

Anyway, no more Logitech KB for me, i do like my G400 though, its great thumb.gif

why not sell the new 510 that comes back fresh from RMA and try out a mechanical keyboard?

what you are experiencing is common amongst rubber dome keyboards. While I do like Logitech as a company, their keyboards could use a reboot.

if its not mechanical and the G510 isnt it is mushy and sounds like that in general even my older G110 has that same mushy sound its due to the membrane if you want a fresh crisp clicky sound get a mechanical keyboard .

Well im more bothered about how much the keys seem to float around, its like the keys are a real loose fit, im not too bothered about the sound as if i got a mechanical anyway it wouldnt have MX Blue anyway, likely reds.
Keys wobble wayyyy to much, anyway need to get myself over to Logitech site to get it sent back, its actually missing out charecters quite often, its damn annoying.

Think my plan will be to RMA then sell what comes back and then buy a Qpad with MX Red.
