hey

I currently have the BenQ G2420HDBL monitor and a PNY 580 GTX. As title says im considering to buy a 3D 27inch monitor wishing to play BF3 on 3D. NVIDIA recommends the Asus VG278H monitor (see link) and was thinking to buy it but im not sure. if this is not the best monitor can you possibly suggest another 27inch 3D monitor? I dont want to spend more than £500 pounds on a new monitor. Thank you guys.

The Asus has the best 3D, but they will soon be releasing the VG278HE which supports 144hz for 2D and 72hz for 3D, so I would wait.

A single 580 is way too slow for high 2D frame rates & 3D frame rates in BF3 unless you intend on playing with low-medium settings. Unless you plan on getting a 2nd 580 I wouldn't bother.

i dont trust SLI. I take it my only option is a gtx 690 which i cant afford to power 3D

I have a 680 ftw evga and I can max out the graphics on bf3 2d and 3d. Good card I'm looking to go surround and get another one.

Sounds like thats the minimum gpu I need to get those decent 2d/3d frames on 1080p 120hz monitors. Anyways I would love to hear from people who made the switch from a 60hz to 120hz monitor and if they think it is worth it. Thanks

Im in love with Dirt 3 in 3d at the moment. So much so im going to buy a steering wheel setup! the only thing with the 680 gtx is the water cooling

Ok, decided to ignore Asus vg278h and went ahead and ordered the benq xl2420t + nvidia 3d glasses 2 & a single palit jetstream 680 gtx. I just hope this gpu will give me decent fps for both 2d and 3d gameplay.
