Noob question on P5BDX with C2D - Page 4

Thread Starter
I tried clearing the CMOS this morning but no luck. I will try again tonight. I checked and it was running at 5-5-5-15 and 2.0V. The memory was running at stock (800) and the CPU was still at stock.

I didn’t install any drivers yet, so I doubt that could be it. I did not install any drivers for the GPU, but I did install some for the mobo. I installed the ones from the CD. Maybe that could be the problem? What should I do if its bad drivers?

Any other suggestions or ideas?

I tried clearing the CMOS again tonight and reinstalled the graphics card.

I got the fans going (Woot! the mobo has enough power) but nothing displays on the monitor still. What can I do?

HELP!

What do you mean by "try"? Take it out and put it back in?

I don't get any beeps but I'm not sure if I installed the speaker properly..

I didn't get my memory today, as expected. I cannot check out the mobo at all, because I don't have RAM to start my motherboard.

Ok
I got it going again. I think the CMOS battery was dead from being left with the PSU off all night.

Now I get a weird error: "Chassis intruded. Fatal error!" and such.. how odd..

Cool rep+ is always cool. Lol

I was just thinking that maybe you have the entire motherboard grounded with a screw. I don't know why I didn't think of that before, but I did now. Glad that you got it working again. Can't wait to see some results.

I just ordered by Crucial 10th Anniversary DDR2 667 memory. I will let you know how it goes with the P5B Deluxe.
