Any advice would be appreciated it. Thanks!

With a 7970 I would just disable crossfire. GW2 has negative scaling at the moment. A single 7970 should have enough power to run GW2 maxed. What CPU are you running? GW2 is one of the most CPU hungry games I have seen in a long time.

Currently running Guild Wars 2 on a fresh windows 7 x64 ultimate install. Installed 12.8 fresh with 12.7CAP3.
FPS dropping when I zone or open/close map.
When zoning sometimes, it looks like the cards drop to low power state then come back to full power.
I have to alt tab every time I use the map or zone or see a cutscene at the moment.
Would really appreciate it if ATI/AMD could release 12.8 CAP 1 already..

Edit: 2x Sapphire Ref 7970 Crossfire. 5760x1200 on 3x Dell U2412M IPS LED. Tried stock clock GPU and OC. Still bugged.

I can confirm that this temporarily fixs the isssue for me. I can map and not get any degrading performance issues.

Thank you for sharing!

I have one 6990 (two gpus) and after changing the crossfire mode to AFR I am also able to easily get 50-60 fps (vsync on) @ 2560x1600 (everything max, except shadows at medium, reflections at sky and water, native sampling). Some flickering, but nothing "ground breaking" as Raisingx said.

Very happy.

Thanks a lot smile.gif

When I make a profile using AFR, I lose 10+ fps and it's much choppier.

omw! Can't believe I am so dumb. Loaded 12.7 cap 3 over 12.8 drivers...then renamed my gw2.exe to gw2dev.exe Now, no map bug and smooth 60 fps.

If you click the "Use AMD Pre-defined Profile" under the 3D Application Settings tab in CCC, and choose "gw2dev.exe" and save it to gw2.exe, it will give you the same result. You don't have to rename your gw2.exe.

I can confirm that this works well, at least for me. It bypasses the map bug, and it's smooth sailing for me at least for the past couple hours I've been using it.

This doesn't enable crossfire ...?
