I'll have to check it, but I don't see how that could be it though, as I put everything back to default. Also, this is the second time windows has been installed on this oc, within 3 days, but I'll definelty give it a look. What's the max voltage DDR2 runs at?

I had the exact same problem just a few days ago......the harddisk error thingy.

Heres what I did to solve it. Follow the instructions for the Intel Raid (which I'm assuming you are) but also set up the JMicron Raid aswell.

Go into BIOS > Advanced > JMicron Sata/Pata Controller = Enabled

Then...

Advanced > JMicron Controller Mode = RAID

Do the above along with the normal IDE Config changes for the Intel Raid and your problem will be solved........I'm positive becasue thats what I did

Wait, so I need to enable the JMicron RAID, even though I'm not going to use it?? did you have to install the JMicron drivers?

Yeah, thats what I did.

I just installed the X32 drivers fot the intel RAID, not the JMicron. I just enabled JMicron in BIOS.

When it asks you to install the drivers (theres a selection of 4 right?) just select the top one and continue with the install.

I don't know why the JMicron thing works but I tried allsorts and then tried that and it installed.

I was having the EXACT problem you are. It would format, then start copying files, so I walked out of the room to let it do its thing but when I came back it had rebooted showing a screen with a red error message "hardisk error" or something like that
