Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition

Thread Starter
I'm a little surprised I haven't seen a thread about this yet but it's about to be released on PC finally and the trailers look awesome. It has a strong following and was very successful on console and as a die-hard Skyrim fan, I can't wait to try it.

You and me both lol!
I've been watching the countdown on the storepage like a kid for christmas... Although I'm impressed by the promises and trailers, I can't help a fear rising from deep within me. It is not the fear of dying, as that is to be expected, nay it is the fear of disappointment from high hopes being torn to shreds by that which must not be named... A bad port ohno-smiley02.gif

I just really hope it will be a relatively painless launch. I hope that the controls will be customizable. I hope the UI is tolerable. I'm "fine" with the 30fps.

So excited for this, port or not I care not!
Was one of the ones that signed the pertition knowing it would be just a port, so no complaints here.

Have had it pre ordered for a long time. Beat the original demons souls when it was first out and then dark souls both on the ps3 multiple times.

Traded in my ps3 the other week as there was no reason in keeping it, sole reason I kept my ps3 was for dark souls tongue.gif
So traded it in and pre ordered this and some other good games.

I'm personally not all that excited for it. Bought Dark Souls PS3 for $20 during Christmas sales and the DLC that adds all the extra stuff the PC edition gets will be $15 bucks so it's still cheaper in that regard.

Probably still end up buying it later down the road during a Steam sale biggrin.gif.

As long as it isn't worse than the console version I could care less. I'm sure many other people share the same sentiments.

I never signed the petition, but I will be buying it. I played it on ps3 thoroughly enjoyed it (though I did like desmon souls' better). I will support this companies decision to bring it to the pc, locked 30 fps or not (im hoping it will be a steady 30 frames smile.gif)

I will enjoy it immensely.

They were perfectly honest in their press releases about all the quirks and issues that they are not addressing for the port, you dont like it? don't buy it.

It blows my mind that people are willing to miss out on one of the best games this generation has to offer cos it doesnt feed their epeen rigs - And before you say "no its cos i wont give money for a slack port" they were hoenst about it, PC gamers begged for it, they didnt beg for it in the petition to be fully re-vamped for PC rigs.

And lets not kid ourselves, the game even at 30fps and on PS3 looks just as good as most PC rpgs (without mods)

Cheers.
