I dont think i wouldve completed DS without his guides. I'm only returning the favor. Considering its a 460 page hardcover guide, 20 bucks is a bargain. He gets a piece of pie only through this affiliated link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0744015472?ie=UTF8&camp=213733&creative=393185&creativeASIN=0744015472&linkCode=shr&tag=epi0f0-20

Love the fact that the biggest DS2 hypers on youtube, ENB included (hate his voice) dont mention anything about the visual downgrade and foulplay of FROM.

But then again... fanboys

DS doesnt need hype. I preordered it regardless. Graphics criticism from last gen console players is ironic. What foulplay from FromSoft?

Seriously though unless I just totally forgot something, I can't think of anything in Demon Souls that I liked more than the way they do things in Dark Souls. I'm not saying Demon Souls is bad... I'm just saying I can't think of a compelling reason to play it over Dark Souls.

Also it's only available on a console. I'd love to try, but don't own one.

Rumors indicate that a Demon's Souls 2 is in the works.

Being developed on last gen or next gen? Souls games are selling, so I would not be surprised at all.

The PS4, if I recall correctly.

The PS3 demo they had on GDC or whtaever it was, looked miles better than the retail version. Which got uglier textures, removed lightsources, less dynamic lighting, uglier shadows, completely redesigned doorways i.e. -all detail removed-, all darkness removed from many places

http://www.forbes.com/sites/erikkain/2014/03/13/dark-souls-ii-graphics-and-lighting-downgrade-sparks-controversy/

There is a -MAJOR- thread on some major site that has images upon images with comparisons of areas from the PS3 demo that people COULD PLAY during some whatever event, and retail.
Even the first PS3 walkthrough video that was on youtube (the 45?min one) looked better than retail..

Yeah I have kept a close eye on this as well. I don't own a console so I'm hoping that come April 25th the majority of those beautiful screens and gameplay from the demos makes it way to the PC version.

The textures will be higher resolution, but the lighting is unlikely to change. Not that it matters.

^ That seems to be the general consensus, but then why go through all the trouble of building that lighting engine to just not use it at all?
