I just found a fire keeper soul, if i use this does it permanently increase the power of estus?

DO
NOT
USE
IT

You need to bring it to a fire keeper. There is one near the bonfire in Firelink Shrine.

You have to talk to her and select ''Reinforce estus flask''.

You have to take it to a firekeeper to have them reinforce the estus.

The one in the jail/cave next to firelink shrine can do this.

You don't need to do it immediately. You'll end up in Firelink Shrine several times throughout the game. It's the central hub.

If it's your first fire keeper soul, it's probably the one in the church? Just take the elevator to firelink on the side of the room.

Yes. He's not that bad.

The big enemies you face now will end up coming back as regular enemies.

Trust me brother I was as curious as you.

Here's the deal: Basically....the entire first playthrough is the REAL tutorial. You're going to realize how amazing the game is....addiction is in your future, my friend.

Which is funny because, again, I think it's an example of the terrible marketing. Less. the game IS very difficult, especially on your first playthrough. They fail to emphasize the fact that for every extreme challenge the game boasts, it essentially ALWAYS offers an adequately extreme reward.

In a way playing dark souls makes me sad to think about what Diablo 3 COULD have been like. Unfortunately they appear on opposite ends of the spectrum. Regardless of how difficult an area or boss feels on your first time through Dark Souls, for some reason you KNOW there's simply a way to beat it. And so you keep trying until you do.

Just wait til the first time you take out the Undead Burg's Black Knight, or Havel the Rock, legitimately with blocking/parrying/evading when you're just level 10. You'll see what I mean.
