Just fought Capra Demon. Not as hard as I expected it to be, still pretty fun.

I am going to buy dark souls PTD, but as this was a game i loved on the PS3, i would like a physical copy. Europe got a physical copy of the PC version, and i was just wondering if i import it to canada/North America, GFWL will not give me any trouble. I was thinking that the pal version probably only looks for the European servers even if i import it.

Specs are in my sig.

For some reason ALL ***FIRE BASED EFFECTS*** are slowing me to a crawl. Otherwise the game runs flawlessly.

Unfortunately, all FIRE EFFECTS bring me down to literally 5 FPS according to FRAPS.

It's sad too, because according to MSIAB the games only utilizing a MAXIMUM of 40% of my GPU and this is obviously the reason why.

And don't gimme that bull about my AMD CPU bottlenecking me -- the most I've ever seen the game use is roughly 50% of ONE CORE so that's not the problem either.

Should add that not only have I disabled SLI but I've even tried removing my 2nd card from my rig altogether.....to no avail unforunately.

Have seen several people on other forums confirm there's no more area specific slowdowns, have also seen videos proving it, which is great.

I'm a newcomer as well to the game, but you lose the souls gathered from killing enemies, humanity gained, and your gear slow degrades(?). The souls can be picked up from the same spot that you died though. Unless you die again while finding your way back to where you died initially. Hope this makes sense smile.gif

You can pick up the souls/humanity you lost by finding the spot that contains it, which will be placed where you were 10 seconds before you actually died.

Wearing a ring of sacrifice will prevent the souls from being lost upon death too. Since it prevents a bloodstain from being created, you can also use one to get multiple chances at recovering a large bloodstain on the ground. If you die the ring breaks, so only worth it for a very large bloodstain tongue.gif.

Remember souls are both what you level with, and what you buy items with... spend them at least after every boss fight to prevent getting too far behind from a big bloodstain loss.
