I have a handful of friends who do not have rigs even close to my hardware wise and the game is very playable for them benchmark wise and in the actual beta.

Would you guys recommend using the dsfix down-sampling method or forcing various AA's to achieve better visuals?

Currently I'm forcing 2xMSAA + 2xSGSSAA @ 1080p; any higher and i can't stay at 60fps.

I did fall through the level to my death at one point and I realize this is a side effect of the 60fps mod but I really don't like playing at 30fps so I think I'll take the risk.

So glad I finally got this game. Demon's souls was one of my favorite games ever.

OGSSAA via DSFix for the best image quality. Whether or not the difference is incredibly noticeable to you will be a personal preference. Increase the buffer resolution in DSFix and see what ya think. thumb.gif

Hmm, I didn't notice any ogssaa option in the dsfix.ini. I'll have to take another look when I get home. And how do I increase the buffer resolution?

EDIT: I think I answered my own question

I've been playing a lot of Dark Souls since I picked it up for my PS3. Have been having a blast and just got to New Londo. Hopefully I can put one of these Monster Soul's to use and make a good weapon with them. It was pretty tough getting through the area right before New Londo but the Golem boss ended up being a piece of cake.

I still have Dark Souls on Steam but picked it up for PS3 due to convince of being able to turn on and play plus there's more people that play online. Tried the graphics mod for the PC version but realized that I could care less about the graphics they look good enough at default and on the console.

Sounds good mate. Yeah the boss souls let you make different weapons, if you're after a really strong weapon i'd probably suggest trying out a few different weapons (according to what your build/stats make you efficient with) pick one you love - and then maybe get it to +15 and then buff it with something (pine resin etc.) for boss fights, gives a massive amount of damage if you put your stats in right for bonuses.

Weapons like Claymore, Zweihander, Uchigatana, demon spear (not buffable but bad ass none the less)

I agree, graphics dont really mean much with this game anyways, ive finished it on PS3 and PC many times.

Have you played Demons Souls also?

Cheers

I think you did smile.gif OGSSAA is the same as increasing the buffer resolution.

Yeah but the graphics with dsfix and everything turned up are pretty darn good.

I just beat the first real boss, Taurus Demon I think... I feel a bit ripped off though, I got him to about half health and he fell off the side of the wall... what the heck. I hope I still got everything he drops.

I loved demon's souls and this is looking to be just as enjoyable.
