I've had nothing but good things to say about MSI and their rebates. Simple process, and only 3 instructions. It's always good to have a low power card on hand for troubleshooting problems.

You'd have to pay me to buy an 8400GS. It's probably slower than even some older AMD IGPs. The thing is older than mud and was slow when it was first released. According to GPU Review it was released on June 19, 2007. So it's over five years old which is an eternity in tech years. You're better off paying a little more for a HD6450 unless there is a decent IGP like HD4000 or Llano.

It's great for the price on a server or test bench, and it is still much better than integrated graphics of its time.

Yeah, I got one of these a while back for the same price for my sisters computer using some onboard Via video crap.
I also got a 210 for the same price for a spare to have sitting around.

Fair enough guys, I just don't see any value in it. It's like paying money for a P4 computer when they are essentially worth nothing today. I'd pay a couple bucks more for something that performs many times better and is current generation or only a generation old. To me really old technology should be either free or it's not worth bothering with. To each his own.
