Need advice with a weird stuttering issue/

Hellow there OCN.

Here's my story in a nutshell.
I've recently changed my mobo because it broke.
Everything worked fine for a week until I moved to a LAN.
There my PC started to stutter every now and then the first few days but a week after the computer would stutter insanely hard when any form of strain was put in the graphic cards.
After careful investigation we noticed that the GPUs and CPU sometimes lost power from the PSU, causing most of the problems.
It got to the point where I couldn't even watch a video for more then 5 minutes or the stuttering started.
Made a video about it at the time here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=6V5gHaqpVJ0

Now here's the thing.

At first I just assumed it was the PSU because of the power loss.
So I gave it to a friend at work so he could test it but gave it back the next day because he couldn't test it. (didn't give him cables since I didn't think he'd have a non-modular PSU)
Anyway, I plugged it back in to my own system today to see what else I can find and to my surprise everything is working just fine now... o.O

I'm running furmark atm to strain the GPUs but i'm 2 hours and a half in without any issues at all with temps keeping steady at 55°C

So now I'm wondering what the problem could be... O.O

At the time of the stuttering I tried disabling SLI, tried each card separately without any success.
I couldn't even surf the web because a simple flash plugin could start the stuttering.
Even after a complete format without installing drivers the stuttering occured.
So it seems strange that it just suddenly fixed itself to the point where I can run Prime95 and furmark at the same time while watching youtube without any complications.

I'm asking advice here because in less the a month time I'm playing in a big tournament and don't want my computer to start spazzing out right there and then rolleyes.gif

I think that it may have been because either one or both of the video cards weren't quite perfectly in the slot all the way.  I discovered the hard way that it's possible for a video card to look like it's perfectly inserted all the way even if it's not.

You see, I removed my video card once to give my system a thorough cleaning.  When I finished and tried going about my business as usual, I had no internet access and my custom X-Fi settings were all gone.  In the end, I fixed it by removing my video card and putting it back in.  I mean, everything else seemed to be working fine, although I don't remember if there was any stuttering, but still:  my system wasn't working perfectly until I reinserted the video card and made absolutely certain that it was installed perfectly.

So in other words:  I think that you have both video cards perfectly inserted now because your system is back to normal.

thanks for the warning tongue.gif
But I did test all my cards separately as well so I'm thinking it has to be something else =/

It could ofc be that there was some dust or something in the PCI slot but that would seem a bit far fetched tongue.gif

Maybe, but I've been dealing with the stuttering all week now frown.gif
Don't understand why it stays for a week and then goes away headscratch.gif

Ok so I've been cheering too soon.
The stuttering is back and won't go away.

The weird thing is that when I disconnect my PSU and let it sit there overnight my rig will run just fine for a few hours after plugging it back in.
But eventually it starts to stutter again and at that point it'll start crashing within minutes every time I boot.

The stuttering usually occurs when playing games, so last night when I was playing BF3 I started to make a GPU log to see what's going on exactly.
Here's the result.
(I did cut out a pretty big part so it would fit in 1 screen)
GPU Log

Notice how the GPU just stops receiving power.
So I'm left here wondering now... is it the PSU or both the graphic cards ? thinking.gif
As mentioned before I did try both cards separately with the same result.

Note: During the making of this log the GPU was running at stock values.
