FSB from 333 to 400 safe on P5N-E?

Thread Starter
I'm looking to OC my FSB from 333 to 400, but on the asus website the listed speeds max at 1333. I wanted to make sure that would be safe.

Also if someone wouldn't mind checking if I'm right on my over all view:

increasing the FSB to 400 from 333 would do 2 things for my rig
(1) increase my CPU from 3GHz to 3.6GHz (multiplier being 9)
(2) change my current ratio for FSB:RAM from 5:6 to 1:1

In case anyone looks at what my pc is listed as now, I do intend to get a new graphics card, a Geforce GTX 560 Ti, which is why I'm looking to OC my cpu.

Thanks smile.gif

well, ~400fsb is VERY doable by this chipset, but you don't get to set it as 400, you set it as 1600 lol
also, you can leave your memory and your fsb "unlinked" so your RAM can be overclocked seperately or not at all

are you running an e8400 by chance? lol
