Quick question about new motherboard

Thread Starter
I received my Gigabyte UD5H from Newegg today. I can finally start putting everything together now, but I have a question. Everything else I have ordered has had a factory sealed sticker on the main box. I looked through everything, and its all there, in perfect condition, nothing opened. Is it normal for a motherboard box to not be factory sealed? It doesnt look like it has been used or anything like that, but I am just concerned. Thanks for any help.

Yes I believe that's normal, however the bag that the board is inside should have a seal on it.

The anti-static bag has a piece of clear tap holding it shut, but its not a gigabyte factory sticker. I just dont want something that has been returned or "open box" as I paid full price for a new part.

Yeah I would take some pictures of it, and as long as all of the accessories are there and he board works you should be fine.

I am getting everything out to start assembly, and indeed, everything, even the RAM, has a manufacturers sticker. I see no proof on the box that there ever was a sticker. Its probably alright, but should I call Newegg or Gigabyte?
If that would make you feel more comfortable then I would do it. While it's probably not necessary it might be a good idea. They would probably be able to look up the serial number and confirm if it was ever refurbed or an open box

I just talked to a guy from Gigabyte and he said its normal, so I guess I will go with that.

Oh, and thanks for the quick replies! I am off to hopefully get this thing going, and to try to keep my cats away while doing it!
