There a most recommended audio products thread. I would do ad700s for open headphones if I wanted to spend that much on something I break years. But the closed jvc harx 900s are cheap and have changed my world in counter strike. Other games with a lot more going on around me I wish I had open though. I'd link the most recommended audio products thread but it's a pain on my iPad.

If you are deadest on a headset it would really depend on your budget what should be recommended.

Thanks! your "recomended audio" review was awsome could tell very quickly that the author knew alot about the topic in question. I know i blew some money by not buying seprates headphone/mic but I really couldnt talk myself into it... I just wanted the convienience of an all in one solution. I did however order a headset from your review the Beyerdynamic MMX 300. Will be doing more research on sound cards before I order one but plan to before to long.

Bit expensive for the MMX300s..but enjoy.

The PC360s IMO are the best headset for the money.

Update on sound quality. At first I was not real impressed with sound quality. Have tested from my RIVE and my 4806 amp def. much more depth from my Denon unit (3k+ for it so its to be expected). They def don't match the sound quality of my LaScalas but thats probably expecting to much from somthing in this price range. After break in they have opened up ALOT and sound alot better now. I am now happy with them. I may still purchase a sound card with an amp or also considering a inexpensive tube amp solution to go with but have been impressed with the sound quality from the RIVE. These are fairly easy to drive and so the board does well with them but dont expect to much from it. The one thing that I wish I had was more thump in the bottom end but plenty of rumble for my taste.

Overall I have to agree with Simca probably a little overpriced but a good sounding headset with a quality mic.thumb.gif

My opinion @ closer to 200 us this headset would be a great deal but I would sometimes rather overpay and enjoy what I have.
