New graphics card for gaming build (solved)

So far my build is:

Processor: Intel S1155 Core i5 3570k
Mobo: ASUS P8Z77-V PRO
RAM: 8GB Ripjaws

And I'm looking for a gfx card to accompany it. I'm looking for a good single dedicated gfx card (I don't plan on doing SLI or CrossfireX anytime in the future) for gaming only with good overclockability and potential for multi-screens. For that reason, I've heard that AMD cards are better; but I don't want to get one just for the sake of "incase I get another screen".

I'm willing to spend around $400 (AU) and I'd prefer to purchase from either:

$400? A flood of GTX670 recommendations will come here.

Unless; what multi-screen are you going to use, Surround gaming or simply more than one display?
Most (if not all) high grade GPUs can run more than one screen at a time, but few can run games across multiple screens acting as a single display (Nvidia surround / ATI Eyefinity).

"incase I get another screen":
You will want another screen. Once you go multi-display you will never want to go back.

agreed. the GTX 670 is the way to go. or if you do not want to spend all of it, you could go for a GTX 660 ti and overclock it. but if you are willing to spend $400 then go for a GTX 670

I've looked at 670s at the stores I linked and they're all around the $500 mark (which is a bit over budget). God I hate Australia.

Edit: Anyone know where to get them cheaper? biggrin.gif

The GTX 660ti is an alternative, exactly $100 cheaper.

Yeah, I think I'm going to have to go with the 660ti and just overclock it.

MSI N660TI-PE-2GD5 or evga GTX660Ti... opinions?
