Noctua fan frightens my mobo?

Thread Starter
I changed my HSF over to a noctua p12 fan from a CM (r4, i think?).

The mobo freaked out - That is, it wouldn't let me boot w/o going into the UEFI and setting the minimum fan speed to a lower value.

The noctua is rotating at 350-400rpm?

mobo is Asus-p8z77 deluxe btw

Go to the UEFI BIOS -> Monitor -> Click CPU Fan Speed -> Ignore. That should fix it.

what he said. basically the mobo is expecting a stock intel HSF that spins at like 1200rpm minimum.
