If you read what I had posted up earlier in this thread. I have clearly explained that these RAM sticks overclock to 2133(9-9-9-24) at 1.35v. Some people can hit 2400 but the timings will be higher. Either way if this RAM is at 1.35v or 1.45v it is not going to get hot enough to even think about spreaders.

You don't want to overclock the RAM past 2400(if your motherboard can handle it) as you are going to see no real world performance difference.

Op if your stuck on having to have nice looking heat spreaders then get the crucial Ballistix 1866@9-9-9-27 in your original post. It can clock good an at $29 its a good deal.
