No you don't, so in order to fit it out the same as the 900D will cost you at least another 100, maybe even 150 bucks. Want a bigger window? Cost ya about $30 bucks. Trust me, I priced the SM8 for a build I wanted and it went from a base price of $380 to almost $500.

I just added every option to the SM8 and it was 420$

Thing is only one u need to add is the side window "15$"

And i see that your not the smartest guy i do not even own a case labs case LOL...

And if you watched Corsair Gorge At CES he likes the negative. comments to help improve his designs.Pointing out the Bad makes the future better..... thumb.gif

If the 900D will get supported with a top / pedestal i do see a market it for it.. But i still think the price should be at most 299$
Getting to close to Mountain mods / Case labs on the prices.

You had to go thru paying 350$ for a Cosmos 2 to lnow how it feels for a company to offer no support.. no upgrades not even a side window..

Atleast Corsair has the Side window part done right.. instead of doing a real crappy fan controller.

Just hope the top / pedestal option would be in the works for people who do buy this case to take it to the next level.

Doubt and you don't even need all that fresh air coming in to the case when water cooling anyway.

The 2 lower front intake fans maybe would blow air across the rad but the top front 120 should be blowing air over the HD cage or gpu.

My roof mounted 480 would be in pull so i don't blow excessive dust in to the case regardless of dust filters.

A nice 140mm on the rear for exhaust.

Bottom front 480 i would prob have in push blowing air in to the case so i don't have air blowing out the case on to my hands lol

Between all that i would have more then enough air flow at least for my needs.

Why can you not pull this off for 249$

2nd after making the 350$ mistake on the cosmos 2 I'm just angry in general now when I see a case priced so close to case labs or mountain mods.

3d the latest rads from monsta are 86mm thick and I'd like to see it being able to fit atleast in push config.

4th I'm not a fan of yes u can put a skinny 480 here in p/p and a avg 360 there in push
Along with a random 240 120 or 140
I want to see duel thick 480 support.

1. The products are completely different? You're kind of asking "If I can buy a bacon cheeseburger at a restaurant for $10 why is the 24 ounce porterhouse $40?" They're not really designed to do the same things, they don't use the same materials, and the 900D is about twice the volume overall. If you don't need the space, the Switch 810 is probably a better fit.

2. Okay.

3. Done. The top has more than enough room for that as does the bottom.

4. There's over 110mm of space on top and on bottom for 480s. The other side on bottom can house around 110mm of space for a 240/280 when the PSU is installed. And the front can mount a 30mm thick 240 on the outside, WITH fans, so you can go nuts.

SM8 is butt ugly compared to the 900D and from the looks of it we should have a little more room behind the case for cabling compared to the SM8.

Hmm 110mm in the bottom across for a 480? And the same uptop?

The Monsta is 86mm + 1 25mm fan makes it 111mm it might fit.

Have you guys tried it yet?

If you can Confirm 2 86mm Monsta 480s with a single 25mm fan fit both in the top and bottom i will retract my comment that would make the 900D a great buy for 350$ thumb.gif

Even without the top pedestal it's $430, almost $100 more than the 900D and that's before buying fans and brackets if you want to mount things to the front bays and it holds less rads than the 900D. Just give it up man, you can't win this one no matter which way you spin it.

I love how ppl start doing the CL (or MM) comparison), rolleyes.gif

CorsairGeorge put it nicely in comparing the 810 to the 900D:

come on ppl! Stop comparing this to other cases that are not in the same ball park. Don't matter if its cheaper or more expensive. Compare this to the Cosmos II at least!

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

I've been looking at the SM8 for a couple of months now. Probably gonna go with it in the summer, but the 900D presents a solid alternative from what I've seen. The SM8 looks like it has around 15mm more vertical clearance than the 900D and less overall space for radiators in the bottom of the case. If you use any 480 down there it doesn't look like you can mount a psu in the bottom of the SM8. I just added the options for the SM8 (not that you'd always need to) and it comes to $489.95. Has George confirmed whether or not the 5.25" drive bays assembly is removable? Besides a 2 week span on my current build I haven't used an optical drive in ages and have no intention of doing so for my next build.

edit: so the 900D has 110mm up top? The SM8 has something like 115 right?
