[MC/Corsair] Corsair 900D "Godzilla" unveiled - Page 173

The plastic trim and basic plastic internals was straight from the HAF series. Come on, the Cosmos Series is meant to be sexy.
CM made the Cosmos 2 look fat and out of shape. Until CM shakes their HAF series obsession, they are going to continue to drop the ball on their premium line of cases.

That's a good point, it could use more rad space. You can do a H100 in push pull, you'll just have to modify the upper fan grill a bit - I do agree that it should be easier to fit a 360 up top. Especially since the case is so hilariously large. I like the Cosmos II, although the 900D appears to be better in nearly every aspect since they're both at the same price - as well, the 900D is definitely better for water cooling compared to the cosmos II. Definitely buying a 900D when I can.

The 900D won't fit a 480MM Monsta P/P anywhere in the case, it will fit a 360 Monsta in the bottom with P/P in the bottom alone.

900D will do a great job cooling anything you put in it, just as the Cosmos will. With some modding a person can make the Cosmos 2 cool a quad GPU setup very easily

900D can fit:

47 mm rad + push-pull at the top (97 mm) and free space is about 10-15 mm

looks like could fit 60 mm rad + push-pull (110 mm)

480 Monsta (yes, 480)+ fans on push is 111 mm, according to 47 Knucklehead

900D is about 25 cm wide so ~2 cm for side panels and dust filters, PSU' sitting maximum 1.5 inch (~36 mm) from the edge, ~ 8 cm is PSU thickness, after all... about 114 mm space. Will fit at the bottom? Maybe... So there is a little chance to put Monsta rad at the top and the botom same time?

So...i doubt that it won't fit biggrin.gif But i like more push-pull configurations for look, also i'm not sure how 80 mm thick rad will react to one layer of ~600 rpm fans. 60 mm thick difference isn't high , but....

P.S: i finished the FAQ and Specs list. Information is official and prototype analized by videos, comments, photos and George posts.

Check it out! Maybe i'm wrong and somebody will fix some moments) http://www.overclock.net/t/1297712/mc-corsair-corsair-900d-godzilla-unveiled/1640#post_19023463

Regarding this specification in particular:
Quote:
Power button is on the left top corner of the top 5.25 bay cover (dots on the photo), we can push it without detaching the cover

I believe that the left top corner is actually where you push to release the 5.25" bay cover - the top center rectangular button that is visible when the cover is open and closed is the power on/off button and contains an HDD activity light.

I'll see if I can find the post where Corsair George said this, but since I've been following 900D threads on multiple forums it may take a while... thumb.gif

Thanks so much for collecting the information into one location!

Deserves to be the lead post on the Official Corsair 900D page if & when they start one... IMHO.

Thank you! Yes, you are right! I found his post.

I don't think a 480 Monsta in P/P will fit down there. Maybe a 360, but a 280 or 240 for sure... A 480 60MM with a set of fans up top & a 480 45-60MM with a set of fans down below will be it's limits I think. That there should be able to cool anything you can put in the case easily...

I think that....it could fit....FOUR MONSTA RADIATORS SAME TIME!

Just think: about 230 mm inside, both Monsta rads with fans are 111 mm, just 222 mm. The top could hold from 97 to ~111 mm. At the front we can mount Monsta 240 with push-pull. The only problem is fittings and stop-plugs, which will look....down, down to the bottom rads.

Just IMAGINE that beast biggrin.gif

Monster rads in push pull are 136MM, they are 111MM in push or pull. But that still leaves 94MM of space at the bottom.

I know! Push on the first rad, push on the second. Might work... But only for this case. Someday, if we will change 900D, we will probably have to change rads too(
