I still feel like the best method of product design is to ask people what they want, then build it.

Can i ask one feature for 1000D or single accessory? biggrin.gif Wider window or fully acrillyc panel, please. 900D isn't bad and.. it just covers a part of system overview.

@ George

What is the best way to setup fans for air cooling?

Edit : Considereing the GPU or GPUs are blower fan type and the CPU cooler with a H100

Make your own. You don't have to wait for a never gonna happen 1000D for a full panel window.

I would and probably will (depends on 900D on the table). But you can't disagree that it's a great feature at stock or in the store)

I retry :

Can we put a 420 / 480 86mm rad (bottom ? top ? ) and with pull/push or not ? biggrin.gif Thx !

Everything that is being said on the video interviews about the top part is that it has 100mm of room between the top of the case and the motherboard, so no, not Monsta 480 in "push/pull" (since that would be 136mm total). Actually no Monsta 480 up there at all, since that with only one set of fans would be 111mm total. Likewise, you can't put a 60mm radiator up there (like an RX480) in "push/pull" since that would be 110mm total. You can, however, put an RX480 up there in "push" -OR- "pull". You can put a "normal sized" 480 radiator up there in "push/pull" mode, like an EX480 that is 35.5mm thick (for a total of 85.5mm with the fans) or an Alphacool XT45 480 that is 45mm thick (for a total of 95mm with the fans).

IMO, if it isn't too late, I think that Corsair should redesign the 900D just a bit and make it 11-15mm taller or move the tray mount. And here is why ...

If they made it so that there is 111mm between the top of the case and the motherboard, instead of just 100mm, they could put ANY 480 radiator up there in "push/pull" mode, EXCEPT the Monsta 480. It wouldn't matter if it was a 27mm radiator, a 35.5mm radiator, 45mm radiator, or even a beast like the RX480 which is 60mm thick. With 111mm of room, you could put ANY of them up there with 2 sets of fans, and not go over 110mm. Going to 111mm (or more) would allow you to also put a Monsta 480 up there in "push" -OR- "pull" mode.

Thus, having 111mm or room between the top of the case and the motherboard try would be the IDEAL space.

I just cant wait for some of the crazzzy builds you overclockers will surprise us with this case.

Almost makes me want to get this case!
I thought George said there was 110mm up top for rads?
I just wonder, since it is most likely too late for Corsair to make the 900D taller (since they have cast aluminum parts front and back), if they could provide an option for a motherboard tray.

Since this beast can hold motherboards with 10 slots, I was wondering if they make a replaceable tray that could be bolted in for standard sized motherboards (or better yet, just drill and tap the current tray with a second set of motherboard stand off holes) that would allow more standard EATX motherboard with 7 slots to be "shifted down" by 2 or 3 expansion slot widths.

Why?

So you could, if you wanted, mount a standard motherboard either "normally" and have 100mm of space between the top of the motherboard and the top of the chassis -OR- mount a 10 slot motherboard in there and have the same 100mm space -OR- mount you standard 7 slot motherboard down 3 slots and free up another 30-50 mm of space up there to house any radiator you wanted.

I'm not sure what a new motherboard tray would cost, or even what it would cost to just have a couple more holes tapped to allow this, but I think this might be the best solution for Corsair to make this case TRUELY universal for any 420/480 radiator placement.

Even if they don't, I think I have just hit upon a way that case modders and put a standard motherboard and 60mm or 86mm thick radiators up top in the 900D in "push/pull" mode with only a ruler, a drill bit, and a hole tap kit.
