Motherboard is 3.3 more inches than a standard board.... That accounts for 80MM. The board will fit easily in the case, but not with a 60MM Rad & a set of fans

Unless all 3.3 inches are @ the bottom, it won't fit. If the top of the SR2 stretches above a standard. It's no way possible

Those boards are 15" x 13.6"

Oooow... so the SR2 is not a standard layout? Lets say it like this you have 110mm of space up top if you use a supported motherboard size

Most likely all the extra size is on the PCIe expansion side of the SR-2 and if the case indeed does have 110mm (George was going to check on this and report back to us), it should fit. The reason I say this is because motherboard makers have to contend with the cut out for the I/O panel that case manufacturers have made a standard. Looking at the SR-2, it doesn't appear that any extra board is extending beyond the normal I/O panel area (and more importantly, the location of the standoff holes, which are pretty much at the edge of that motherboard, as they are on standard motherboards), thus logic would suggest that the extra dimension is on the opposite side, but the PCIe slots.

Again, this is just a logical assumption based off of pictures, but I think it makes sense.

the SR doesnt add MM to the top part of the motherboard tray , is to the bottom

it will be close to the PSU in this case , but you will have the top clearance so , it will fit , look at the holes in the 900D

That's what I kinda thought. If it adds the extra size to the bottom. I would ask a SR-2 owner first to be for sure

You are correct. The upper mounting holes are the same as ATX. The additional length was added where the PCI slots are (and to the depth: 15" vs 9.6" for ATX). HTH smile.gif

FYI the top does have about 110mm of space to the top of the motherboard, but then there's another mm or two to the first screw up there.

Keep in mind you can take the top mesh off completely and stack stuff outside the case as well. So you could conceivably put a Monsta up there in push-pull if you put one set of fans outside the case.

EXCELLENT news George. Thank you very much for looking at this personally and taking the time to respond back to our measurement question.

So, we can fit a Monsta 480 in top, but the one set of fans stay outside the case. But about the 480 in bottom, we can fit a Monsta too?

We have a total dimension (monsta + fans) = 136mm, is right?

That is perfect, as that extra mm or 2 will be the night and day difference when it comes to running 60mm rads.

I have never bought a corsair case so please excuse my ignorance, but do you guys do pre-orders on cases??

136 is correct.
