[MC/Corsair] Corsair 900D "Godzilla" unveiled - Page 220

Phobya makes a whole line of splitters that I've used over time.

3-pin 3-way, 4-way, 6-way, and 9-way cables.

They also make a cute little 4-pin Molex to 6 3-pin connector board that I use fairly often.

Phobya 4-Pin to 6 x 3-Pin Fan Splitter PCB (Power Six 3-Pin Fans from One 4-Pin Molex Connection!)

Thanks Knucklehead and BranField.

@Knucklehead. Do any of the Phobia boards have an 3 pin input as well as the 4 pin molex? Was hoping there was maybe something like these Phobia boards that could be used to also control the rpm of the fan based off the input from the 3 pin connector but draw the power from the molex. Otherwise, I might need to rethink and go with the Lamptron so that I can get more wattage per channel and a board like this ModMyToys board http://www.frozencpu.com/products/14666/ele-992/3-Pin_Power_Distribution_PCB_4x_3-pin_4x_2-pin_Block_MMT-PCB-3-4342.html?tl=g47c17s285

I've used the ModMyToys molex to 8 fan splitter, and their 6-pin to 8 fan splitter. They're pretty great honestly, and I haven't made a build without them since I first got them.

Not that I could see. You found the other board that I would suggest for a 3-pin to 3-pin board. It's a much larger package than the Phobya board, but it does 3-pin to 3-pin.

Really really tempted to upgrade from my 700D to this case since I have a local buyer that will pay $200. My main concern is how my FC5 and optical drive will look like when installed. I cant wait for the first review of this case.

George, I'm a Corsair fan from China, 900D is obsolutely perfect for me.thumb.gif I can't wait to get it and it's so suffering that I have been waiting almost half year for it. I hope it would n't be too late to be able to buy in Beijing, due to the Spring Festival.

This is my system now,I also like 600T very much, but it's just a little small to hold enough rads for the components. That's the reason why i'm so anxiety for 900D .Thanks to you for bringing us the 900D that I don't have to worry about it any more.
I believe that it also will be popular in china and we look forward to more inotational products of Corsair.thumb.gif

Thats quite alright bud, were all here to help each other.

i havent seen any that your asking about. i would use the cable i posted a link to and use it with a decent fan controller. i think the boards are generally used to power multiple fans straight from the psu using molex so there wont be any adjustment for them other than using resistors.

i really want this 900d as my current carbide 500r is boring me a little and getting rather dusty. the 200mm side fan isnt filtered unfortunately.

Deke

1) Without powerful fan controller any spliter or board will not work properly.

2) I think that better to use fan splitter cable due to length, so you will be able to connect fans in any position inside the case.

If thinking about fan cable length, probably it will be hard to get to the board from the bottom part of 900D, for example. Also if fill up the case with radiators, it's about 25 fans... imagine how many bords you will need) One per channel... Cable is the way to go in my opinion. thumb.gif

Buy magnetic (for metal and plastic, has a sticker) Demciflex filter for 500R. There is a kits for cases and just for fans by size. Awesome fing and grid, not metal mesh, so eating the dust much better
