Hopefully much sooner, but probably not this year and I just had to get a new chassis George, had the 650D since college March 2011, that first group over at HardForum, we had the fan controller issue, that became an easy fix. The 650D is still a wonderful chassis to build into, fond memories, I'm keeping mine going to put together a guest room pc and the old 650D will be perfect, thanks for a great design George.smile.gif

I will say this. We're looking at the 650D successor and doing some different things with it. We're focusing on what complaints people had with the original 650D (wanting dual 120/140 fans in front instead of a 200, for example), and we're also looking at a new chassis layout that can be modified for a lot of different cases around that size.

We called the 650D a "mid tower", but realistically we could have called it a full tower and gotten away with it. I think for the $150+ crowd, full towers are becoming much more popular with the Switch 810, Phantom 630, CM Trooper and Stryker, etc. So we'd be foolish to ignore that area with the 650D successor.

The goal will be to increase functionality and performance while maintaining build quality and reducing cost.

Sounds impossible, but there was a lot about the case market we didn't know when we built the 650D, so a lot of the newer chassis make smart design choices that can do all of the above.

But I will also say this: the 900D front panel appearance/bezel will be brought to other products in the future as our new Obsidian series lineup.

Heh, we'll definitely have some new cases to show off at CES. And maybe even some at Computex.

Or sooner.

smile.gif Would be stoked if it came out at computex.

Computex would be awesome. Haswell + 650Dv2 = Throwin' money at my screen.

There has also been a mention of a smaller format case - I think it was for mini-ITX...

I expect to see at least 2 or 3 new Corsair cases soon.

As I'm a fan of the front panel design of the 900D, I'm happy to hear it will trickle down to other enclosures from them in the future.

A 550D with it would be very nice as the current design is somewhat restrictive for front intake and the door is a bit hard to open.

I do realize it is a recent design, but a similarly-sized case with the 900D front would be the perfect case for a reasonably quiet ATX gaming build using air or AIO liquid coolers.

Hi, George

When I was building my Bitfenix prodigy, I used AX750 with blue cable, but the length made it hard for cable management. I heard you guy are thinking about Corsair mini-itx, have you guy thought about launch a short version of Corsair PSU cable with softer sleeving? I know silverstone have their PP-05 seires which reduce cable clutter in smaller cases & systems. Really hople you guy could make one!

There are two schools of thought there.

One is to do like you said, and offer shorter cables for small form factor cases.

The other is to design a small form factor case with good cable routing and a way to tuck the unused cable length away.

We've got our eyes on both.

Off topic sir, but i wouldn't call Trooper as Full Tower case... more than 5cm height is just for show, aka useless, and working with it is PITA. As an owner of it, i can say this; i hate this case.

Any estimation of Europe release ? (Swiss to be more precise)
