I don't really like the plain and square look of the CaseLabs cases so yea.

Pre order on Amazon as its cheaper and you can get free shipping - http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Obsidian-Series-Computer-CC-9011022-WW/dp/B00B1R8JT0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1361549819&sr=8-1&keywords=900d

Great choice on the case.

Disclaimer - I've been sponsored by CaseLabs and Corsair in the past.

I wouldn't get a Cosmos, waste of money IMO. The 900D looks like it will be a good choice, as would a CaseLabs case. I don't really think of Corsair and CaseLabs as competitors to be honest I think their products are pretty different

For the price you'll get more features with the 900D out of the box, the closest tower case price wise from CL with the features that you need is the SM8 for $380, but if you add front USB3 then it's $400. The 900D will support HPTX while if you want HPTX or XLATX from CL you have to spend more for a TH10 (double wide case) or a SMH10 (similar layout to the 900D but much bigger and more $$$) or ST10 (only XL-ATX). However you're going for a 3930K so there may be no need for even XLATX. The CL is more flexible in terms of setup (reversible case), configuration options and color (white also available). It's also a full aluminum case vs steel/plastic. It's also made in the US vs China if that matters. However the CL options may cost you more and the case doesn't come with fans or dust filters. For example, if you have a 480 in the SM8, and you want to add a 360 you'll have to pay at least $50 more to either get the extended top or the front flexbay radiator mount or mount the PSU on a vertical accessory bar. If you want 2 480s and a 360 then you'll have to get 2 of the 3 options which increases the cost even more. I haven't seen the 900D yet so I can't give you a personal opinion one way or the other on it. I am a big fan of CaseLabs and would never hesitate to recommend them if you like the aesthetic, however an all Aluminum case won't compete on price with a steel/plastic one so you will pay more for the same feature set. Personally I'd never pre order though. At least wait for the reviews and see what you want and watch reviews from people who've seen the SM8 too if that's what you're deciding between smile.gif

Apples and Oranges do not coexist. Corsair chassis are probably the most functional, best looking, and easiest to build into for the money, easily. CaseLabs chassis are designed and build by hand by naked female aliens on a planet in another Cosmos altogether.smile.gif

this is how its measured compared to the Cosmos 2 and TJ-11

Black = Corsair 900D / Red = Cooler Master Cosmos 2 / Blue = Silverstone TJ-11

conclusion ... its big LOL

I really want this case but I imagine it would look weird with only one gpu in it lol and I'll more than likely never go the multi gpu route.

You guys answered everything, WOW thank you for all the info this is great! Is this set for launching late March now? The 900D? OMG =/ crying. Anyways, why is the TJ11 700$ that's just ridiculous a lot of people won't buy it for that reason. The 900D looks a lot bigger then it too.

Wow. What did you use to make that?
post #2710 of 5816
solidworks , its just an extruded Square WxDxH smile.gif

i used the dimensions posted here , and for the other cases , from their respective websites biggrin.gif

i do mockups to compare my "creations"

capable of 2 Monsta 120x4 on top and another on the bottom , push/pull , made out of carbon fiber and aluminum , This Summer project smile.gif , still need doors , top and front panel , which im still deciding the "look" , but its more of a elegant rather than a gaming one thats for sure XD
