[MC/Corsair] Corsair 900D "Godzilla" unveiled - Page 332

Having 480 compatibility means a case that's pretty big. I'm not saying we won't, but there's no easy way to cost-down the 900D without significant retooling, and by the time you made a bigger case with a 480 compatibility you'd have some issues with shipping size and whatnot. So I'd lean towards unlikely on that one.

That being said, we're looking at the full tower case market, which has become a lot more competitive recently with the NZXT products and some of Cooler Master's new stuff. We're definitely looking at new full tower options that don't cost $300+.

Besides, the 900D is kind of beyond full tower, and more into the Super Tower segment.

Appreciate the quick response.

If a 480mm rad is not feasible in a full tower case, could you please do a good air-cooled one?

Since most non-reference GPUs blow hot air all over the place, I can't seem to find a good solution for multi-air-cooled GPUs in any case so far....
(I have an old 9700pro fan strapped on the back of the PCI-E slots outside the case blowing cool air in).

Other than that, the 900D is one of the greatest cases ever produced, so far.

I really want this case for water cooling. I don't want to hook everything up in my HAF X and the take it apart a few weeks later when this case is finally available! tongue.gif But I still need to wait on the EVGA GTX Titan Hydro Copper to be able to run my cooling..... And that has been taking a while to come out.... Anyways I know when I buy this case I'm going to need a different PSU as well due to the fact that the cables on my XFX 850 XXX barley reach in my existing case. I'm thinking ill buy the AX 1200i, that way I wont have to ever upgrade my PSU and ill be able to do custom sleeves on the cables.... MDPC-X probably or maybe save some money and get the corsair pre-made ones... But then again, half the fun is making it yourself thumb.gif

And it's nice to see everyone helping each other out and giving advice!

Also thanks for keeping us all up to date on the 900D George!

TTL and a couple other guys got their review units fine, but some of the first shipments were damaged. In order to make it fair to all the review sites that we selected, we moved the NDA date to April 16th. Otherwise, through no fault of their own, the guys at WebsiteX.com or whatever would be screwed out of having launch-day reviews.

Nobody will be able to buy the unit anywhere until then anyway, so it doesn't change anything.

I do have some good news - the tooling modifications we made have worked, and we have very high quality units in production.

And better news - I will be giving a few cases away. Not sure on how yet, facebook probably, or maybe I'll just randomly pick through this thread and see who's going to build the most ridiculous thing and send them a case so I can see them do it. Not sure yet. But I'll post here before I start the contest so you guys have a fair shot at it.

Wow I wasn't expecting for you to give a few cases away George that is great!! I sure hope it's available in other countries. Anyone building in this kind of case is going to have a pretty crazy rig smile.gif

April 16th honestly doesn't sound too bad either, I can live with that.

So pumped for this case. I dont mind paying the ~$350 and ~$100 shipping to Australia.
10 cases available on the corsair website next week...........um you mean 9 cases wink.gif
Can't believe I have been commenting and reading this thread since day one, feels like so long ago.

Only three things missing from my life.
1) Corsair K70 in Black with red LED's.
2) Dominator Platinum Light Bar Upgrade Kit with red lenses.
3) 900D.

Then my X79 Corsair Dream Machine will be complete.(CPU and GPU upgrade later this year. SSD's upgraded to 1tb each when corsair make some.)

Oh damn this case is stunning. It might not look the sexiest, but from the inside it's an absolute beast. It fits so much radiator! biggrin.gif
