[MC/Corsair] Corsair 900D "Godzilla" unveiled - Page 354

I also ordered through Amazon. I took everything out of my TJ-07 to sell it. My computer is just running in top of a card board box. I'm getting really desperate to get this 900D case now. My room is a mess with all the tubing and items arriving for the build lol. Hope to get an update when it will be available in Amazon and how how many.

i would suggest get a bench or some cheap case(like $40-60), running on box is aint good man. Especially when Amazon wont receive cases for some time, then shipping...
i would say we all looking at least a month without cases... and this is kind of a piss on us from Corsair... too long for too little,
If there wont be any update on dates within next week, i will probably jump ship nad get tj11, since it is more modders friendly not to mention instant availability...
Corsair over-promise and hugely under-deliver. I would say, 900d is a milestone in Corsair history, as one of the greatest product however, also as a biggest launch failure. Sad story

I think biggest issue what corsair did, was to allow distributes to put product for pre-order... and then completely unable to recover from some design problems and deliver on time.
As i said earlier, cases are not cell-phones, there is no microchips or software.... it is pure metal... and it is hard to miss somethings in tests, since it is a solid product.
Someone, somewhere cut comers in tests, that lead to failure on a proper launch. I also do believe, corsair should of use at least a better recovery service, with more updates on resolving such issues and keeping tabs on ETA cases at least to major countries/distributors and not flimsy "ow, may be in a month or two". Well it is my opinion, but it is kind of sad to sit in a piss =)

On the other note, judging by some info from NCIX reps, it should be mid april in Canada, blah, hopefully they refer to april 16th

I kind of agree I don't think it would be as bad if they didn't say it would be out in February and then say that May will be the more realistic date. And to top it off I still don't know for sure when I will be able to get one so i I dont know if I want to pull the trigger on a caselabs or not , would be nice to know if newegg was going to get it on 4/4/2013 but no one knows

I'm sorry, call me old school but I don't get the attitude that we are "entitled" to this case and all the stuff how George should do this or that and corsair is screwing us over.

Yes corsair introduced it a long time ago but stuff has come up and they have had to fix things. No one here should be telling George how to do his job. Heck corsair could of scrapped the whole case after so many problems and said we are moving on from it. I for one am grateful this case is coming out, and I have a crap ton of parts sitting waiting.

So why not just be more grateful and patient with George and corsair and just be happy it is almost here. Instead of taking this entitled attitude towards it all.

Thanks George for all the communication with us on the forums, not a lot of companies have such a direct pipeline of information. I will be trying to get this case as soon as it comes in stock and thanks for all your hard work.

Well to be fair, most of my hard work on this case was done over more than a year ago. Defining features, finalizing the look and feel and materials, all that stuff has been locked for a while. Then the engineers spent their time on it and the quality control and packaging guys spent their time on it and overall, for the past 6 months or so, it's been mostly various tooling modifications and packaging modifications to finalize the best version of the final product possible.

My work over the last few months has mostly been talking to you guys, working on new projects (cases and coolers), and making product decisions on final hardware ("Is it okay if we switch from this type of hinge on the door to this other type of hinge?") and such.

Also putting my roadmap together for late 2014 early 2015 at this point. Gotta think 2 years out at least.

Some of the stuff in development now you guys might not even hear about by this time next year, depending on how we decide to move it.

George is a case leading manager, so it is kind of given=) What I meant, there were a communication, but it could of been way better, like today, he dropped a single post, on a massive issue for people not receiving email about launch.
also, money is paid for cases and purchases made on the false information provided by distributors . And feather it goes, more troubles on the way... Life is not about how much information is leaked by company but how accurate it is.

It is good George that you think two years ahead, but it is also a good to remember, present is shaped by past, and future is based on today. Surely, you work was done long time ago, but it is also here that there is huge problems with distribution channels...
Question will be by the end of the day, when, who and how many... and that all information is asked of Corsair due to such delay.
We just want our case as fast as possible and not to be Qd by god knows how many more delays. Surely, some cases will be available now, but not for everyone right away. I am not evenly sure, that i will get mine in the first batch with NCIX.

Well as i said earlier, 900d is a milestone, and god, it is one heck of good case for the price. we all greatful for your work and time spend planing this one out. It is just final push left, but it is also the hardest. thumb.gif

Yeah just keep up the good work George. We would all rather have a well thought out and fine product than a rushed one. thumb.gif I ordered my 900d the other day to replace my 800d. Can't wait! biggrin.gif
