[MC/Corsair] Corsair 900D "Godzilla" unveiled - Page 362

So PUMPED for my 900D to arrive! Currently sitting on an AX 1200I PSU, H110 cooling, 4x4 Dominator Platinum Ram, Asus Rampage IV Extreme Mobo, 2x 240gb Neutron GTX SSD, 1x WD Black 2 TB HD. Now the only thing left to debate is my CPU/GPU. I am torn between 3930k, 3960k and 3970k for CPU (I was thinking 3930k since the price difference does not reflect the performance difference between the other two). As for GPU, I am stuck between the GTX 690 and the GTX 680 wackosmiley.gif. Decisions, Decisions...

Hey bro I got a 3930k and some 680 gtx in sli. I would fully recommend them. I love the 3960 and 3970 but the performance is pretty close with the 3930k IMO. Wasn't worth the extra 400 bucks. As far as the GPU's go, I don't think you could go wrong with either choices. As far as dollar wise goes though the 680GTX in sli would be cheapier now.

Lol I could take a very similar photo. Patience will pay off I hope. My only concern at the moment is the sudden change in my financial situation. My wife was recently laid off, but she said to go ahead and get the case. Feeling guilty about spending more money. sadsmiley.gif

Ya I was looking at the differences between the 3930 and the 3960/3970, the performance differences seem to be not worth the extra $400 (IMO). As for the GPU, I looked into SLI for GTX 680 as you suggested and see that it does edge out the 690 in performance at a slightly lower cost, so I think I will go with that! Thanks so much!

No prob bro. I feel your pain too. I always go back and forth with what to do. I had a 900D on preorder from NCIX (number 12) but decided to cancel due to wait. I instead got rid of my h100 and h100i cooler and got a custom loop. Now I will just wait till the case is ready and order when in stock or close to it. This case is so nice. Can't wait.
