Well that's cool^

Nothing too new to me, but respect for sharing stuff that some people can seem scared to share.

I will also say this - there is nothing like this on the market. We're not trying to duplicate anybody else's product. So the Case Labs, Mountain Mods, and Little Devil guys can rest assured their products will remain unique. The Cosmos II, TJ11 or Level 10 guys can also rest assured we're not trying to make a Corsair version of those cases.
.

there is nothing to be done , its all being done ... everything is out there (unless using hot swaping HDD bay is innovative or tool-less stuff....), difference is ... marketing and exposition , what you could bring is a new "design" but that is as easy as usign bevel edges on a 800D case and call it "... there is nothing like this on the market..." lol ( there are some stuff that hasnt been done , but none are as innovative as ... using nickle to plate copper on waterblocks or using compression fittings on watercooling instead of barbs like in the begining)

if , as you said , is going to be a 800D , its gonna be like those 900D pics look , adequate space for a rad on the lower compartment . and probably a little bit expensive

that's me guessing , when i hear successor

but if you guys are doing a newer "D" case , i bet it will be a newer number , like 900D . a successor name would be like 800Dx or something like that , and with something upgraded but leaving the essence of the 800D in some way .

sweet... its comes out on december 15th then! (jk about this... just had too tongue.gif)

as for what yoi said... its possible, but i find the actual ideas of a new system unlikely... what will be new (and what makes or brakes the case IMO) is how they are implemented and the ease of use... even CL has very few "new" things... its just that their cases are designed for the ut most ease of use possible, which is what makes them great (im not a fan of LD for MM, as i dont see an advantage to them in 95% of cases)

I guess it depends on what you mean.

By your definition, there's no reason to ever buy a new car, a new TV, etc. I mean, all a car does is move from place to place, and all a TV does is display content, so what's innovative about that?

My argument is that innovation is sometimes a combination of features that may have existed in other places, but never combined in a single place. For example - let's say that Toyota finds a way to get a full-size SUV up to 50mpg. That's not special, right? There are full sized SUVs on the market, and there are 50mpg cars on the market... but right now there are no full size SUVs that get 50mpg. So to me, that's a new product, and there's nothing like that on the market.

But in the end, it's your call. I know it's not for everyone. I know a lot of people will look at it and say "Wow, I can't believe anybody would buy something like that", but I also hope some of you guys look at it and say "Wow, finally, something worth buying that fits the features I want at the right price!"

I was about to mod my 800D. Now I don't want to. If this new case can fit 2 dual think 480 rads like the XSPC RX480 in push-pull configuration, I will wait. My original plans for the mod make it look identical to the supposedly leaked pic.

CorsairGeorge please just tell me I can fit 2 dual think quad rads in push/pull config and I will wait.

Thanks for the explanations and the description of the process.
