There was a 2-day delay in shipping (holiday in China required us to change some plans - units would have left our warehouse but wouldn't have flown out until Monday from China, so we flew them to the US and are shipping them from here), the units are en route now though.

Here's a picture of them in our warehouse.
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Ignore the broken pallet and incorrect tie down, these were all re-wrapped and re-palletized before shipping out to the US again.

They're coming.

...oohh Sir Corsair George has returned to the manor , using fancy words and all lol ( palletize sounds super funny saying it out loud )

Once again, thanks for the info and suggesting that I PM Corsair George.

Also, huge thanks to Corsair George for a speedy response in confirming the order.

So from my understanding your order did go through? Because i'm thinking i will order through the corsair store but if they wont ship to Canada I'm stuck waiting a while. And im still interested in seeing how much your total cost will be.

and as for brokerage fees.. i think you can refuse to pay ups at the door if it's to much and just ask them to deliver it when you have the means to pay for it. That way you will be able to contact a brokerage and pay them instead if it will work out cheaper.

I think for the brokerage fee, you have to make that decision when you order or not too long after ordering, but not when they deliver since it'll be too late as they've already paid your custom fees?

I PM'd CorsairGeorge who responded almost immediately stating "Ontario. You were the very first order received." I am going to take this as the best sign for a confirmation. Based on my history with ordering through UPS, the charges will either be $210 (Based off of $420 quote) or $175 (Based off of $379.99 quote). I researched some more and found a few customs brokerage companies that are licensed by CBSA. What I read was that upon notice of tracking number/shipment. You give them a call and fax in your information. They then expedite the process to the CBSA agents at the border that the item is crossing and cover the payment. Most will charge $20 brokerage fee but $20 is much better than $175 +.

I might not seek an outside agency for this for a couple reasons:
1) curious as to what the cost will be so that I can provide the actual number to you
2) Seems like a lot of work. To me it is worth $175 to not have to waste my time running around doing paper work in order to save a little money.

George, does the rear exhaust 140mm fan position also have holes for 120mm fans (like the top has)?
My two strongest 140mm fan candidates have 120mm mounting holes only.
Thanks for your time!

and damnnn those boxes are huge!
When I picked up my HAF932 in 2010, I walked home with it (20 minutes) while making my local computer store have a good laugh.
I do not think I'll be able to do this with the 900D...! tonguesmiley.gif
