+1 for that idea, If it could be implemented in a somewhat cleaner look befitting of an Obsidian. thumb.gif

ty smile.gif... and tbh it shouldnt be too hard with a midplate there... i think the main reason companies dont do it is because they dont think it will be cost effective (which it may not... i have no idea)... none the less it would be a very nice thing to see in an enthusiast case smile.gif

I can do it on mine without even swapping the doors. But that's cause mine has two motherboard trays and each door has a window lol.

So when do we get pics? Or specs?

Some of the internal stuff we see makes us want to delay or push a product out until we get the features/quality right.
We don't always do it perfectly, but every launch is better than the last, so we're moving in the right direction. Personally I think my favorite case is still the 550D, just for its flexibility and clean looks.
Well, my favorite case that we've announced, at least. smile.gif
Thank you for that, i sold a 550D for a 600T both are different, the 600T has more plastic and its louder, could've save that money by not switching but the 600T is sexy especially in silver

If you are looking for some honest, no-holds-barred criticism on the case (and believe me, I have no reason to "gush" at Corsair... IMHO you guys have fallen WAY DOWN from where you once were, and I honestly have not bought a single product of yours in ~2 years for exactly that reason)... However, I do still have my first set of RAM, 2x512MB Corsair XMS3200RE for my FX-51 biggrin.gif and 24/7/365 it still will run at DDR448 2-3-2-5 without a single error after 48hrs of memory testing! That is the Corsair I remember, and the one that I respect and admire, not the Corsair that charges 4-8x as much as competitors for "premium" memory kits while selling the lowest-binned stuff as "Enthusiast" memory (Vengeance) when it's just budget RAM with "fast-looking" heatspreaders slapped on to make people pay 2x the price. And when I bought my XMS back in '03, it truly was the absolute fastest memory on the market, and carried (actually, CARRIES) a NO-QUESTIONS ASKED LIFETIME REPLACEMENT WARRANTY.... What do you get nowadays when you buy "XMS" memory, other than a dirty feeling you can't quite shake?

IMO, you guys have made some very good moves (Force GS, Performance Pro come to mind), but for every good move in the last few years, there have been 100 bad ones (don't get me started).

You all were the PC Parts Company that I INSTINCTIVELY knew to buy memory from back in '03, in fact I didn't even consider Kingston or OCZ, and I want to see that company again. I want to see a company that TRULY strives to innovate and will bend over so far as to break their back for their customers... I don't care about the marketing nonsense, or "customer outreach initiatives", or anything like that because it's just a bunch of marketing BS.... I want to see CORSAIR come back, and "Corsair Holdings and Profiteering Incorporated, LLC" fall apart. This is an industry in which many consumers truly favor the "little guy", as can be seen with recent start-ups that have had resounding success, such as BitFenix or any one of a number of water-cooling companies.

Like I said, I would be MORE than happy to "beta" test this case. All I can say is that, again, unlike many people, I really don't care about sucking up to a company because "ooh, free stuff!". All I can promise is that I will give extremely thorough, detailed, CONSTRUCTIVE feedback and criticism, and as someone in the science community, I believe myself to be extremely adept at conducting a fair study without allowing any bias to creep in (of any kind).
Do you want honest people who won't hold back, or do you want people to suck up to you to get more stuff?

I don't just mean me, and lord knows I would live the rest of my life 100% happy even if I never were to see or hear about this computer case (because it's, well, a computer case... and life has a lot more valuable things not to miss out on), but I honestly hope that you are able to find a truly bias-free, honest, no-holds-barred group of people to "beta test" this case, and to do so without ANY fear of "retribution" in terms of being "blacklisted" for speaking their minds about the (inevitable) faults this case will have initially.
I really hope that you (Mr. Corsair Rep), as well as the rest of the people who read this, can see it for what it is: I am not insulting the company, nor am I begging/pleading for anything other than some semblance of a return to the TYPE of company they were a decade ago when it comes to being a company BUILT BY LOYAL CUSTOMERS, and not some "high-brow" sell-out that uses its name to sell "adequate" products for "premium" prices, in many instances (**coughcough*CorsairLink/DominatorPlatinum/manyOtherExamples*coughcough**)....

Sincerely,
A Disappointed 10-year Fan :/

PS: Please, read this in the tone that I wrote it in before you decide to flame me... That tone would be one of, well, disappointment combined with a bit of hope, I suppose

A Disappointed 10-year Fan :/
PS: Please, read this in the tone that I wrote it in before you decide to flame me... That tone would be one of, well, disappointment combined with a bit of hope, I suppose

I'm not going to flame you, I'm only going to disagree with you. I've been here more than 8 years now, working on #9. No intention of going anywhere. My first job was binning memory for DDR1, 275 MHz parts. Samsung TCCD ICs. I've worked on a lot of different projects since then. Right now I'm the case and cooling PM.

I understand where you're coming from. Not every one of our products is a resounding success. Nobody's got that track record. Everyone ends up with something half-assed now and then, but at Corsair it's not for lack of effort.

You claim we don't innovate - but sometimes those failures have come during the attempt at true innovation. The Corsair Link stuff is getting better and better, and right now you don't need to buy anything else to get it to work with an H100i or an AX860i. Nobody else in the industry is attempting to do anything like that, outside of motherboard vendors, and few of them make much more than motherboards and video cards for enthusiasts.

The Dominator Platinum looks fantastic, and it works exceptionally well. The Vengeance stuff isn't designed to be the world's fastest overclocking memory. Our keyboards are unique in design and function extraordinarily well. Our mice, specifically the M60, since that's the one I use, are uniquely designed as well. Each case is new from the ground up, offering a unique blend of ID and performance features, all our coolers' success stories speak for themselves. The fans we launched this year have proved themselves among the best in a crowded market. Our SSDs are now using controllers and PCB designs that are not available in the general market, even our USB drives are unique and offer some innovation in a market crowded with me-too products.

So I'm not going to flame you, I just disagree with you.

But that's the beauty of this whole game - you don't have to agree with me, you can vote with your dollars. Just like everybody else. As our products enter new markets, and grow market share in existing markets based on new products and innovative features that some people care deeply for, we prove our worth, I think.

There is no "Corsair Media Holdings LLC" or whatever. Just Corsair. We still do the world's most reliable memory and power supplies. We still do innovation in every category we're in, and while we aren't perfect, we're better across the board than most of our competitors. We win some and lose some, here and there, like anybody else. But we're obviously winning a lot more than we lose, and from every loss, we learn a lot about how to do better next time.

As for beta testing the rumored 900D, what makes you think we aren't already doing that? What makes you think we haven't been doing that for months already?
