[MC/Corsair] Corsair 900D "Godzilla" unveiled - Page 474

I'm so glad I waited for the 900D ! All the reviews and pictures can't come close to showing just what a great case this is. As I am starting to mod the case I keep running in to features that make you think why didn't they think of that before. It is an absolute pleasure to work on. This was well worth the wait and I hope all the rest of you get yours soon, I think you will be as hyped up as I am. I'm cutting in the front MNPCTECH 360 grill tonight but I'll show you Pictures of the special Quad ring grill I just put on.

Gear mentioned in this thread:

Hey James I really like your Rig ! very nice. Me and Sam have been planning and making some of the bling for our build called
Unforgiven - The Metallica Build. But I didn't have a case until this week. We are still lining up some special parts and materials for the case. It will still be quite a while until completion because I am trying to push my own personal abilities to do a nice build. Check out our full work log at
http://themodzoo.com/forum/index.php?/topic/516-unforgiven-the-metallica-build/ we actually have a lot of great stuff considering we have been modding without a case up to this point. I am so into this Corsair 900D that It's almost 4 Am and I'm up painting the edge of the cutout for my 360 Nautilus grill so I can put it in tomorrow.

CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v62), default quality

I think Bill at MNPCTECH Has some Quad Nautilus grills, Mine Is different It is a ring grill, 1 of a kind unless Bill stashed some on me. I prefer the nautilus but I needed some diversity because that's what I'm doing on the front.

Ha ha apparently I don't have a short answer when I'm up this late. ha ha Ohh man I'm in The 900 club:)

Hey hey hey
Be nice and play nice :-D
May be it is a transfer stage before WC, thats how most people turn to WC these days.
Also, not everyone can cope with WC set up and have liquid inside case...

PS nice lighting, did you use multiple color LED strip or just have 2 different colours?

I figured at some point someone would make that comment smile.gif

In fact I do want to move to water cooling at some point and wanted the case to support that.

An to be honest there is nothing wrong with what I got. I think I did a good job with it. I am sure there will be others without full water cooling. biggrin.gif

And as for air cooling in this, I have no complaints. My temps are very reasonable. Never had an 800D but I don't see any issues air cooling this case.

To c5USSR72, yes RGB lighting with the NZXT Hue.

Nice, i might get them later for second part of the build, since i will be switching colour scheme...
Dont pay much attention to comments on WC, everyone starts there, myself, i had h100 (original), currently have rad/pump/res all in one but open loop, and about to make a double loop. H100 is great and more than enough for stock speeds, it is just i run my cpu at 4,8 ghz, where stock is 3.3.
Btw, also a really clean build, wonderful cable management upfront :-D

Hey Mpoffo - I dig your set up!! you did a nice job and our cases are ever evolving. I'm not sure why people think that we should all set our cases up the same way / how boring would that be? For every troll that has only jealous criticism for someone else's work there are 10 that wish they had your case! Bro you own a 900D that's enough to set them off right there. You should check out the mod zoo ! a lot of top builders started it just because of stuff like this! it is a no troll zone ! Also the Corsair H100 Is a solid unit that allows many people to do water cooling that don't want to get into the complexity's of a full water cooling set up. Show us more pictures when you can !
@mpoffo: Don´t feed the troll
I´ll also be using the 900D with a closed loop (H100i), when I get the case (not availiable on my country yet)
Not all of us have the money to buy this case and all the water cooling componentes at the same time, and obviously it´s better getting the case first to figure out what to buy and where to put it.

Enjoy your build wink.gif
Thanks. I understand the criticism. I have no intention of feeding anyone. smile.gif Just happy with my build. It truly is an evolutionary process. I am by no means done with it and probably will never be lol.
