That's nice to hear thumb.gif i think Corsair should be on the top 25 company to work for, its a very honest company loved by many people

You and I have the same desires.

But if I have to delay it until after Christmas to make sure it's right and everything works, I will.

Not going to ship a half-assed product to hit a certain date. I want to nail the thing perfectly. Right now we're in the last stage of tooling and tweaking fit and finish stuff (panel gaps, door flex, functionality of mechanisms, etc).

This thing is very, very complex.

That is the attitude that I would hope most companies use. Sadly, most do not and just push a product to market before it is ready.

Glad to see that is not the case with Corsair.

I will wait for this product and am looking forward to it's launch!

This is why I'll always love Corsair and haven't jumped ship to another large case mfr.

<3

Best prosumer service ever...which is why I've put one of my builds on hold til this thing comes to papa.

Fill it with slim-jims and have Godzilla bust through a wall kool-aid man style, holding slim jims in hand while roaring OH YEAH.

You're awesome, go corsair! I agree though, its true, absolutely, would rather a good product than a bad one. The only thing I hate is that I live in Australia and a lot of electronics are a lot more costly than overseas, and if I purchase from online possibility of damage increases and RMA process is a lot more complex! I must say I hope this case has better air flow than the 800D.
800D has plenty of air flow.

Also I wonder if the 900D will come with Corsair Link. I'm not interested in gimmicky changeable lighting but an LED controller and good fan controller is always useful.

Today is quite different, with GTX 480, GTX 580, and GTX 690 out there, as well as a history of dual GPU cards from AMD, too. And since Crossfire and SLI has been made much more useful, power requirements of high-end systems have gone up, as have cooling requirements.
We'd be stupid not to address one of the main complaints about the 800D.
As for the comment about wheels, the 800D was designed to be used in one place, like a TV or a microwave. If you want to take it to LAN parties, you can, but you'd better have a strong back.
None of the Obsidian cases are designed to be ultra-portable or something. That's more Carbide/Vengeance line. Even the Graphite line has a kind of built-in handle on the front and back lips.
The Obsidian series is designed to look like a big black monolith that stands ominously in the corner of a room, quietly and reliably computing. Thinking. Judging. Learning. Plotting.

I like the second half of this comment a lot...but the first half makes me sad. I bought my 800D under the assumption that it would never go "obsolete," as it were. I mean, a case is a case, right? I wouldn't spend $300 again on a case knowing that in two years from then the manufacturer would say, "well that might've been good back then, but today you really need this!"

We have some experience with basic PCB design in-house, the memory and SSD PCBs are frequently custom. But that's only a small element compared to a GPU design, and a motherboard design would require a ton of firmware/BIOS work to do correctly, which I don't think we're willing to staff up, honestly.
Just my views, other people here might have different opinions.
The monitor thing is interesting to me because there are LOTS of paths forward if we wanted to do it, and people are using monitors for more than just PC stuff. You can display tablet or smartphone content, plug in an Xbox/PS3, whatever.
But who knows if anybody's actually buying premium monitors at all. Most people seem to be fine with 1920x1080 24" and 27" TN panels. Ugh.

Now might be the right time to get into touchscreen monitors. thumb.gif
