for its features this case should definitely (and most of us here would have predicted) have been more expensive...at least in terms of AUD we were expecting $450-$500, not $400...let alone Amazon

I'm not very surprised they sell out loads smile.gif

In the Philippines this case costs 30k pesos which = 737 US dollars. I don't care though since to ship from the US to my next duty station (Philippines) would be expensive that is how I justified it in my mind LOL.

Micro Center in NJ has these in stock guys. 5 left after mine, biggrin.gif

After having to work on my 800D yesterday I've come to the realization my system needs to be moved to a bigger home. My system has outgrown it, sad-smiley-002.gif

Argg this is frustrating out of all the microcenters there are 7 that have not gotten this case yet how is it that Minnesota is one of them how does microcenters distribution work. I can't wait till they are in stock. Anyways that was my little rant I'm so excited for this case and live seeing all the builds gouing up nice work everyone all the builds look amazing.

They distribute from Columbus, Ohio. They might get it in on Friday or Saturday, that is when their shipments come in at the one near me.

As for how do I justify expensive? I said 60$ *more* expensive. I justify it because it is an absolute comparison between two different prices for the same object.

Now having worked with the 900D for a few days and begin to fully visualize my build, I must say... What kind of mad evil genius designs a case this great for this price and can they also design all the future cases too!?! It's design with such flexibility I'm having trouble nailing down different ideas in my head. The overall quality is dumbfounding and I find I'm almost nitpicking little things which often are just modding opportunities waiting to be fulfilled.

Still, I do have one concern: Weight? For anyone who's completed a build in this case, how heavy was your build? I believe the MOTM build was over 100lbs? As my part come in, I've began to wonder how much weight can this case truly hold and how will it handle it during transport (even if that's just one room to another)? I'm expecting my build to be at least 100 lbs, but I'm starting to wonder if I'll crest 150... Wondering if i should worry about items shifting and the best way to carry this thing the small distance from my modding area to my upstairs man-cave?

Tazz

FYI: George / Corsair took care of my window RMA process with flying colors. I'm waiting for the new one to arrive, which I expect may take some time but I don't mind. This case was 100% worth the wait.

I emailed Amazon today asking for an ETA. This is what the CS rep told me:

Unfortunately, we don't have any more stock of item right now, and we're not sure when we'll be able to get more.

Has anyone else received a different answer? frown.gif

I thought the shipping weight many users have found was 47lbs? Minus packing materials and some internal cages this would put the weight closer to 40lbs~. I do have a case here I guess I could test, but my concern is less lifting it and more damage prevention. The central construction of the case is very solid, yet the front and back of the case are removable from what I can tell. How much weight can those 8-10 screws handle? What about warping the sides of the case? Maybe, I'm over thinking... just seems better to consider it before I get everything in the case.

So I switched my rig over to the 900D yesterday and have to say it was a pleasure to work with. Love the extra space behind the mobo. Was disappointed that my window had what appears to be cracks at the corners but I'm sure Corsair will make it right. I also have to say I don't like how the front looks with my bay reservoir, Was hoping I could push it in far enough where I could then put the bay covers over it but that would require the dremel. Next purchase for me will be a reservoir for sure.
