[MC/Corsair] Corsair 900D "Godzilla" unveiled - Page 562

I just found this thread. I got this case just a few days ago and I am still planning all my components.
A question, are any of you using the hot swap bays? If so do you use them just as standard drive bays or do you hot swap drives?
I am thinking of using them just to reduce the cables as I have no intention of hot swapping, especially with RAIDED drives.

I'm using one of the hot-swap cages for my RAID 1 mirror. You could say that using the hot-swap cage actually ADDS to the cables you need. It has one SATA power connector and 3 SATA data cables all hardwired to it.

Thanks, but if I put three drives in it then I will have two less power cables and the same number of signal cables thus two less cables. The cables appear to be of good quality.

Can anyone confirm that an NZXT Hue is long enough to light a 900D? I searched earlier posts in the thread and saw mention of using two of the Hue's strips to light a 900D but I am not really interested in picking up two kits and having a spare 5 1/2 bay control unit that I won't be using.

As soon as I get my Hue I will tell you. I am building in a 900D right now. I am taking my time however as I am waiting for a 4930 before I commit to a MOBO.

Need HELP! should I get EK-Supremacy Clean CSQ Nickel block or EK-Supremacy - Acetal Nickel to match the pump top I used?

By the way, Dazmode is a great Canadian WC website.

Kind of want the clear one but I don't know if it would fit in with my build. Please let me know what you think. i want to order it today so it's here before weeks end.

I caved and bought one off Amazon that should be here on Friday. I'll chip in and let you know how the install goes and whether or not it can cover the aspects of the case that I want it too. I sent an email to NZXT's customer support asking about buying a separate strip of just the LED lights that come with the Hue but they have not responded to met yet.

I think they are standard RGB LED's so as long as an added strip does not overtax the power output on the Hue any one should work fine. Anyway, keep us updates.
I should be get my Hue on Friday.
