[MC/Corsair] Corsair 900D "Godzilla" unveiled - Page 92

I prefer my TJ11 as well but for different, mostly aesthetic reasons. The 900D will be vastly cheaper, fit many more rads and will be all around more practical to live with than a TJ11. Corsair cases are among the best and they have done a great job of listening to their customers in regards to design. I'll bet there will be plenty of extreme enthusiasts queuing up to for this case...

I have a feeling that this case is going to be quite flexible for air cooling. Due to the amount of stick the 800d has received for its poor air cooling, you would think Corsair would have addressed this for their next big case. Possibly something behind the 'front panel' to mount maybe some 140/120's.

Looking at the bottom of the case it looks like there is a nice deep gap between the case and the floor, maybe it has a filtered floor to attach fans to take air in straight up the case and out of the roof and rear.

Either way it looks damn sexy. I bet her insides look pretty nice smile.gif

Wow that 900D is crazy. A full water cool loop in that baby will require a gallon of distilled its so big. Very interested to see the final design.

But what got me really excited was some talk of an "800T". I love mine to death. But a 360 up top, and 240 radiators doesnt sound to much of a step. I already have a 360, 120, and a 200 radiators in mine. Thinking about squeezing in another one in the bottom....

When I bought my 600T I checked out the 800D. I couldnt believe how big and heavy that case was empty. I though it could make a good coffee table. Cant wait to check out the 900D at my Microcenter. thumb.gif for George

Sorry, doesn't make sense.

Why would you pick a Little Devi or Case Labs over Corsair?

Features, aluminum construction, looks, whatever the reason, a lot of people like their products.

If you read through this thread, there are a lot of people who feel exactly the other way.

Personally, I think Case Labs does a great job of what they do, but this isn't really designed to compete with them. We're doing what we do - making a case that adds high-end construction and functionality, with innovative features and offering options that other products don't.

It's not going to be priced to compete with Little Devil or Case Labs or the TJ11 either, since it's not 100% aluminum.

My point is that this industry is big enough for a lot of people with a lot of different ideas and opinions. The average selling price of a case is around $80. A 600T is already twice that price. The 800D is around $100 more than that. The 900D will be more expensive still.

Obviously the $300+ case market isn't for "99%" of the gamers/builders. It's for the top 5-10% or whatever it is that is willing to spend real money on a case. And why not? It's not unheard of to spend $300 on a motherboard, $500 on a GPU, $300 on a CPU, $200 on a PSU, $150 on a headset or headphones, $300 on an SSD.... why not offer a premium case designed to house premium components?

If you don't like it or you'd rather buy Case Labs, that's cool. I don't expect everybody to like it. But I expect a lot of people will. Because I think we did a lot right with this.

To me it looks amazing and I come from a TJ07 which is a beautiful case. I love how clean it looks and honestly if you spend a lot of $$$ on your computer most people won't mind spending a lot on a case. If you want the same features as what the 900D seems to have on a CaseLabs you would spend $550 or more! (Also other case manufacturers don't offer Hot Swap and Dust Filters). If 900D is going to cost around $400 its a perfect price point IMO for what it offers. I can't wait to move on from my TJ07 to this case (because I'm tired of modifying my TJ07 to keep up with my water cooling needs). It seems to offer all the latest features that today's high end desktops require and the cooling options for watercooling look amazing. If you guys don't like the pricing there are A LOT of options out there. This case is for people who don't mind spending a lot for a case that will last a long time.

I am just going to transfer everything over from my 800D build.

I just need another XSPC EX480 and a few more fans depending on how many more fans the 900D can utilize,1 more SP120 High Performance/High Static Pressure fan since i already have 7.

I also have 30' of Durelene sitting here so i am ready to go.
