I'm up at the photo shoot today, this is a T3 sample, so panel gaps are off a bit and the front is kind of smudgy, but this gives you a good idea.

Merry Christmas.
More details next month.

Wow nice pic of the new case george great work, will def replace my Cosmos 2 over this. How will this compare for the air cooling between the Haf X is this the new monster crosair900d?

Correct. I build high-end PCs but I don't have the need to watercool, especially with low TDP CPUs and GPUs being produced now. This case is for the person that doesn't want their imagination to be limited.

I see this as an alternative to the CaseLabs SMH10. The 900D would be a steal at $350-380.
Thanks for the photo. thumb.gif

Can you honestly associate a high end build without water cooling ?

TDP is getting lower yes but water cooling is still far superior and zero fan noise.

I'll probably snag this instead of a Mountain Mods case. I love MM, but they're kinda plain and just a sheet metal box. I'll have to wait till I see a 900D in person. I'm stoked about dual 480 rads in this thing.

Edit: I'm pretty much sold. Need some interior shots to make it official. I'll buy it day one at any price.

Zero fan noise?

What about the fans on the radiators themselves?

Come on, my friend... liquid cooling can be a plus, but with some attention paid to design one can build a very quiet air-cooled PC.

Proper airflow management and low-RPM fans can make all the difference in the world.

Today's non-reference GPU coolers can also be very quiet, yet keep the GPU noticeably cooler - note the MSI GeForce GTX 680 Lightning, or the ASUS GTX 680 DC II.

Use a Noctua NH-D14 or the like for your CPU. Perhaps some sound-deadening panel lining and fan isolators.

The new AX(i)-Series Corsair PSUs don't even spin their fans until a fair amount of load is built up.

IMHO you can indeed build a true high end build without liquid-cooling. The desired end result is reliable performance, not just to show off fancy colored loops & reservoirs.

This is not to detract from the various well-engineered liquid-cooled builds out there, but an added benefit to air-cooling is the time saved on maintenance.

There's plenty of room in the modding world for both types!

I am hoping this will turn out to be great for air cooling.

As a previous owner of 800d, I switched to 500R and my GPU dropped from mid 80s to mid 60s.

Also my CPU temp droped from mid 70s to low 60s. Highest I saw in BF3 was 62. Also please note that with 800D i had 4 fans on my h100 but with 500R I only have 2 fans with the H100.

I believe for the GPU side panel fans help a lot. I ditched the stock 200mm fan of the 500R and replaced it with a Akasa Viper 110 cfm fan and a cooling Swif fan. And the results are amazing.

I truly hope we see a great air flow with the 900D. I Trust in Corsair.

I wonder if corsair 900D will be released with a mesh side panel cover like in 650T.

I know it is all about showing the hardware with these series, but it wouldnt hurt to have a mesh cover too.

I will be following this case's progress heavily as if it delivers way better than the 800D, I will probably buy it.
