Gigabyte K8M800

Ok well I took my sys apart becuase I wanted to clean it. Anyways I put back together and I turned it on the the motherboard sparked. I turned it off and the chipset felt really hot, I turned it back on and I got no screen but the chipset got really hot again?. Can it be fried. When I press the power buttion it turns on but no post but the fans spin etc... The LED is on

Reset the CMOS on the motherboard.

Unplug everything but one stick of memory and the CPU. Try to power it on, and see if you at least get beep codes from the mobo.

If this doesn't work, then yes, something may be fried.

If it does work, slowly add more components and keep turning it on, to see which one is the point of failure. If you fully re-assemble and are still working, then congratulations
