hmmmm, ill try it then, if i keep my clock speed the same by fiddleing the multi, and put the ram on a divider would that do it?

ok wat you need to do:

drop your HT to 3x (you don't need 1000 HT anyways)
drop your multi from 11x (or whatever its at) to 9x
raise your HTT to 245. that would = 2200 GHz

to hit 2.8 you need to run 312 x 9 = 2800 and change
then if you need to run a divider on your memory, run a 133 divider (i think) and it should push you down to 200 HT fsb. see if that works. if you want to hit 3 ghz you have to use 334 x 9

I got that board and my opty oc's great. I been above 3.0 but a was waiting for better cooling right now I'm around 2.9 stable.43-44c.@1.45vcore. I'm happy.....buy the chip!!!

~~sorry ~~ was out of the room for a moment...then finished the post...I don't know about the 146's
but the board you have should oc it fine ..especially since the 146 has a x 10 multi...I googled that stepping and there are some nice oc's on around 1.4vcore..

hmmmm, looks like ill have to wait until someone seems to know more about it...

How much do E4 4000's sell for?
The cacje form that date era were good for 2800MHz or more. I did a 148 from that era and quickly got over 2800+ with little effort in about an hour of tinkering

Just looked it up - it's a Sandy, its got a 1 Mb Cache lvl 2 cache, so it's the same as my 4000 really, overclocks on them seem to hit 3 Ghz, but it seems that some people have been keeping the 12x Multi on mine and getting 3 GHz and close on Air, so i might try the same!
