E6600@4948MHz under Cascade (SuperPi 1M@10.297s) - Page 4

Thread Starter
I've recieved that Biostar of Quents today. I'll not have the time to bench during the week end; so I've quickly turned it on to see how could it works.

A quick Vdimm mod...

And a glance at the bios... check the temp; it was fluctuating within -119°C to -122°C :X (note the hardcore stuff on the background)

looks nice

can't wait to see the results

Did a new bios come out for the biostar because I read somewhere that it was limited to 500fsb?

Thank you!

I think a bios modded by The Stilt allows some good FSB numbers. I've seen some poeple doing mid 580FSB with that Biostar. I hope being lucky enough to break the 550FSB of my dead P5B-DLX.

Is that indeed the super talent stuff? I'm astounded that your DDR2-533 can do 1100 mhz+ That's amazing! Point me in the direction in which you picked that stuff up!

Not 'only' 1100MHz but 1270MHz

Super Talent T800UX1GC4 is a kit of 'Over-Clocked Memory For Gaming Enthusiasts'. In fact, that's a PC5300 kit sold as a PC6400 one by the manufacturer thanks to its good overclocking capacity.

I've tested the Biostar board under cascade and it required me to flash the bios for the one modded by The Stilt. The motherboard ran nicely and scaled up to 540FSB using 9*.

BTW I would like to try to achieve higher FSB numbers and for that reason I've modded the board.

NB Heatsink lapping...

... and Vcore mod

I hope to have sweet results to share for tomorrow...

Thank you very much!

Actually, these mods didn't help to raise FSB... The mobo can't go over 540FSB *9. Not too bad...
