ASUS Motherboard Anti-Surge Problem

This is the first time it's happened in the 2 months I've owned this computer I built. My ASUS P8Z77-V LK motherboard won't let me boot into windows. It gets to the windows loading screen and then shuts down and start back up again saying the power supply is not safe because of some surge problem. I don't understand this because I'm only drawing like 250w out of my Corsair Builder Series CX600w PSU. It should have no problem powering this. Would it be safe to disable this setting in the bios as I don't think there is anything wrong with the PSU? Thanks!

Try another PSU and check if problem persists, if not then it could be your mobo.
I don't think you can turn it off, and if you can, don't risk it.

Hey don't worry guys, the reason this was happening was that I was forced to continue turning off the PC by the switch on the back of the PC as I can't get windows to load. Every time I did this, the Surge warning appeared. I'm sure as I'm no longer forced to do this, the surge warning will disappear.
I meant to say on the back of the PSU. LOL
