Let me start off by saying i am in no way a master overclocker. i know how to do basic stuff, thats about it
I've been running my 2500k at 4.2ghz for the better part of a year now, but recently a buddy told me hes got his at the same OC at 1.2v, where as mine i've left as auto and the voltage is around 1.3v. when im not in games or anything it goes down to 0.9-1.0 volts, but it also downclocks to the default 3.2ghz..

is this normal/alright? is my voltage too high? (i was playing TF2 windowed for about an hour to keep an eye on volts and temp)

voltage is way too high..... You should only need around 1.2 if that.

dam you voltage is to high. to be honest all you have to do is leave everything stock and and just change cpu multiplier to 45x. 2500k can do do 4.5 with out a problem. or you can start with going playing with offset. i notice with my chip that fixed voltage never lets me get stable above 4.7 not even at 1.52v but for some reason offset work thumb.gif
