Hi, I recently bought a faulty HD 4870 from ebay. The seller said that the card does not work in a 16x slot but works in 4x etc. I thought that it was their motherboard at fault so bought the card. When I tested the card, I found that the seller was correct, it doesn't work in a 16x slot (computer POST's but no display). The PCI-E connector on the card was not shorted anywhere because the card worked when run in a slot wired for 16x but set to run in 4x mode. When I swapped the card to a different slot on the board, I noticed damage to the surface mount components above the PCI-E slot.

They are labelled C80, C82 and C83 so I think they are capacitors.
I was wondering if it would be possible to replace these capacitors with those from another PCI-E graphics card (I have an old 8800GTX lying around which is beyond repair) I would use components from the same part of the board. Am I right to assume that because they are part of the PCI-E connection that they will have the same values?
Thanks in advance.
