vg278h running on 119hz and not 120 hz cannot get it to accept 120 in ANY game

i just bought the vg278h and im having 2 problems

1 its running at max 119 hz
2 when i alt tab out of a game it goes black and then you see a vague tin in the screen then black and then it displays the game / or desktop

im using the cable asus supplied dvi

odd thing to is lets say in wow


i put v sync on and it says 120 fps

when i put hz on 60 it still says 120 fps wich i find odd

try creating a custom resolution @120hz

I'm not sure about the 119hz problem, but I know all about the black screen when tabbing out.

This will always happen, but its the worst when you have 3d enabled. When you disable 3d from the nvidia control panel, it's pretty much non-existent.

ok i re isntalled drivers without the 3d vision ones and so far indeed black > tint > black is totaly gone response of alt tabing is good

that leaves the odd hertz ratings

y2k i tried to make a costum one but it said already got these settings

so far tried clean installing drivers

fresh boot ups dont work iether god im get paranoid here tongue.gif

Lol, no reason to uninstall the driver and reinstall without 3d vision. Simply just keep the "Enable Steroscopic 3d" box unchecked when you don't plan on using 3d.

for some odd reason it whould work like you made the screenshot i tried i just think it is my computer being a mess
and thus i just re installed my machine im in the process of re installing everything will check if hz is normal now

and the green flicker was more me being scared of having a faulty panel

The display isn't actually running @ 120hz, they run @ 119. x (insert number), same with most other displays, the industry just rounds up the numbers to look nice. 120hz sounds/looks better in adds than 119.4/insert random number, same with 60hz vs 59. x (instert number).
