You have three (or less) cards with the same block.

Did the same thing with my 480s and universal blocks... I am digging these though.

Yes,you're right. That (above picture) would do better. Very minimal footprint.

If someone could do it in a way that you just bore 2 small holes (instead of that big rectangular hole) this mod will get even better. It would really look very well made (professionally done).

Very good idea for estetics bro. Would have an awesome look.
Just different sort of fitting is needed. Like trough hole fitting.
Something like this:
http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=59_346_393_623&products_id=27482
plus four of very, very short fittings to earn some space between them for manovering.
or this:
http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=59_346_393_623&products_id=27482
But here the fittings are already too long.
Inside the housing of the card has to be flexible tubing, then you can try to combine this. But still, there is very little space between waterblock and wall of plastic cover, which makes it almost impossible to place two oposite fittings, find space and way to connect them with tube, close cover and get all screwed and tided. Which practically exclude the second attached link. Still there is an option to turn the waterblock 90* towards the fan, and try to make it with angled rotary 90* fittings, placing the holes closer to the fan, but also there might be a problem with space, and then with air flow, thus cooling very hottie VRM modules.

A shorter Monsoon compression fitting probably will fit on this like the one in the picture below.

600x450px-LL-f92e3982_dyESih.jpeg

My mistake... it won't cuz it still occupies about 3 PCI slots long. The shorter adaptor fitting that you mentioned maybe the only alternative coupled with another connector that I was showing.

I did some simulation on how much that project would be possible. I printed rectangular with exact dimention of GTX680 FTW in 1:1 scale, and placed there the waterblock. Now enyone can see how much space is there and what you can do and what you can not do. Obviously my first speculation in previous post was totally wrong. That idea will not happen unless there exist 10mm long fittins thinking.gif. There is 27mm space between the block and wall of the card housing. Plus, the inclination is not helping, but you can eliminate it. But is nonsense to do it as holes would be too away from each other, and on one side would be entering on SLI conections area.

So EKWaterblocks are not good for this kind of project.

There is a lot of different brands that are doing this kind of universal waterblocks where your idea would be more than welcome i think, as they are much smaller and more versatile. So you'd have much more space for work on the card. I'm sure that there is many blocks that saves you cutting the alu inner plate of the card in order to mount them. And that is a valid reason for not loosing product warranty thumb.gif

I'm placing thise photos to give you an idea of how much space is there and what I found out.

I think you can do it by using different kinds of available extenders (picture above) coupled with that low profile adaptor that you were showing me (also the other type that I posted a picture). But it's hard without the available pieces on hand. It's going to be a trial & error. I remember e-mailing frozencpu before asking them what kind of adaptor would fit for my reservoit fillport cuz I can't seem to find the right size. Turned out it's the same adaptor that you were showing me. Frozencpu were very helpful in aswering my e-mail. The best thing to do if someone gonna mod it this way probably is to email pc water cooling components sellers (frocencpu, sidewindercomputers, etc.), & ask for their help.

There's a particular connector that Swiftech was selling before to connect their particular discontinued radiator in series (sandwich connection) with a 25 mm thick fan inbetween them. It will fit for sure.

Or you can also just connect the water cooling tubes to the waterblock much like PNY did with their water cooled GTX 580.

If the inlet & outlet port are inclined then it wont work. A different block with straight connection (there's lots of then in the picture you posted) might work.

No, it's not my PC (just saw it on case modding section). I just showing everybody how it's possible to do a short connection using threaded copper tubes without going with a big headache looking for multiple extenders.
