I just did that and still minimizing and stuff takes forever. Now If I stop Raid 0. Will I lose all my data ? Or is there something that I can do to keep it. ?

it's obviously hardware if you can hear machineguns...lol. unplug and replug fans one at a time and see if one of them is making some noise..at least you'll know about the noise...

My guess would be HDD though.

ok so I just opened my case and loaded a game so I could hear where the sound is coming from. and sure enough it came from 1 of my hard-drives. Does anyone know what to do? Also here is weird thing. I tried a program that seagate offers (from where I bought my drives) and even the program can't detect them. So I was like w/e i'll use speedfan... it can't detect it either. I downloaded a third program... it will crash when I load my hdd's... Windows is detecting them fine. What can I do?? How can I test my hard-drives for problems?

It's either the HDD or RAM.

Run Memtest86 to see if you have some bad sticks. Get Speedfan or any other HDD monitor and see what S.M.A.R.T. has to say. Try benching them against similar HDDs if that doesnt help.

What type of BSOD are you getting?

Thanks, well see here is the problem. Ram seems to be working fine for the most part. Speedfan can't detect my HDDs so S.M.A.R.T. is blank. I wish I could bench my HDDs but seeing that nothing is able to detect them. What are my options? The BSOD is to fast to read and I have not gotten it in the last few weeks.

Go allow yourself to see the BSOD go to My Computer<--Properties<--Advanced<--Start-Up and Recovery<--Settings

Under the system failure options, uncheck 'automatically restart'. This will allow you to see the BSOD and narrow down the problem.

Alright. I just did that. But what do I do if the Window doesn't show up anymore? I have not gotten BSOD on over 1 week

First,

BACK UP NOW!

That hard drive is biting the dust. If it makes noise like that, I don't even bother running analysis on it.. It's going back.. period. RMA that thing.

k before I go this route. It only makes this noise in one particular game and none other. So I don't know if it is game related. The game is Fifa 07. Also can I RMA both my Hard-Drives? Or can I only RMA the defective 1? I just want to bring both back to make sure that I get 2 properly working HDD's

RMA the one that needs work. Shipping will be more if you do both. Isolate the sound to see which one its coming from.

Remember, with RAID 0, if you lose one drive you lose everything.
